Training For 2023

Nah I heard Dodo grabbed him in the car park after his last session and told him he would be going to Essington and no need to try and impress at Punt Road.
So Bradke's "smiled" then.

Teale may have been told his services no longer required?
Only spotted Narkle & Bradtke last two sessions.
It will be an easy decision for club to make they may be fighting for last list spot but not same position.
I need to see Bradtke in match sim before making a proper assessment.
Possibly ! But is it only just 1-2 sessions he has missed ?

In todays climate there could be many reasons like maybe getting covid or something to do with his injury or maybe a pre arranged late start.

Hope the kid gets a better shot than just a couple of training sessions before being written off

Training today:

Too flat to report today, Gibcus carried off by two trainers with non collision leg injury  :(
If I am guessing maybe a bad high hamstring but I am no doctor hopefully not a knee.
As I mentioned could not put any weight on it and arms around trainers as escorted off.

If he was carried off by 2 trainers and not a collision as you said.
I hope not but sounds like a knee. Fingers crossed its hammy

Any facial expression from Gibbo? Surely, we can't be cursed this early...

The Show must go on despite the Gibcus injury so here is my report as it would have been and it is not great reading:

Gibcus: was starring before incident. The injury occurred in front of me, Josh was running and bending down to pick up the ball, he fumbled and stumbled or stumbled and fumbled a bit and saw an approaching Soldo and then made another awkward movement to avoid making contact with him. I don't know if the injury caused the stumble or the stumble caused the injury. Anyway he immediately rolled over on his back and raised his hand for assistance and did not get up or leave the ground under his own steam.
Tylar Young: very impressive again, was matched against Gibcus in 10 minutes of one on one leading/blocking, etc and matched Gibcus for closing speed and one grabbing marks when in front, (could be an inspired pick up depending on how bad Josh's injury is).
Tigga & Shorty : Shorty still in rehab post xmas return and Tigga did very little after also missing Saturday's session.
Graham : Who appeared to be stepping up his running on Saturday came out and was over with rehab group but after discussion with Doc went inside without doing anything.
Pickett : Mostly conditioning and a couple of light no contact drills, (likely reason left thumb heavily strapped)
Colina : Again did nothing.
Miller : Trained forward
Balta : Good again and in defense.
Ross: When split into lines was in defensive group  , (Surely not).
Kaleb Smith: Showed some nice moves today, good side-step, running overlap and speed but still a light weight.
Lynch : I said i wouldn't mention him but he did look a bit better in his running and also had about 10 shots on goal.
Junior : Looking like he could be a big improver?

"Awkward" .. "non contact" .. and "knee injury" are not words or phrases that sounds good together.

Did he grab at anything when he went down?

Tylar Young - Sounds good going foward
Colina - Injured ? was he kitted up ?
Seth Campbell - Anything you can tell us
Brown - Is he still finishing the 2klm ?
Bardke ? Narkle ? Teal (is he still missing ?)
Biggy - Is he the player that takes over from Gibcus if injury is serious

No Teal.
Narkle putting his best foot forward, nice Dusty like fend off and delivery today, (club will know what they're getting). Bradke, quick a good kick not sure on strength and competitiveness, (the last two traits will determine where he is in the pecking order).
At least we have tall options down back Tarrant Balta Grimes Miller Biggie Young.
Tarrant will again prove his worth.
Colina walked 2 laps.
Still can't tell Seth and Steely apart so either one is doing really well or they are both doing their bit ;)

Hail your work Caesar. Bugger about Gibcus. Hope it's not a knee or a sign of chronic hammy problems. Always fear the worst when the diagnosis isn't known. Maybe Young gets an opportunity - not all is lost.

Maybe Bradtke comes on board to fill a hole for a tall. Love his surname. The Mark version was a champion big on our Boomers teams in the 90's and early 2000's. Are they related?

AFL site says Jack Hayes out for 10 weeks, so assuming Gibbo's non report means the injury isn't serious?
