Training For 2023

Keen to know which end of the ground Gibcus is training at this week. That'll tell us if he's playing fwd or back.

Main Training Today Wednesday:

Had to leave really early and possibly not much good news.
I were given the heads up to watch out for Balta as was spotted limping earlier in week, he only did warm up and then hit the sheds discussing a leg issue.
Gibcus left the ground after the warm up and hadn't seen him return when I had to leave.
No Soldo at all.
Young was training.

They were just about to commence match play when I left.

Sorry that is it folks

No training on Monday?

Given this is our third consecutive six-day break I imagine it's a light week all-round.

Balta was hobbling during West Coast game. He had some sort of compression bandage on lower leg. My suspicion is that it is a calf issue.

I didn't get close enough to see as bandage was skin toned but it did appear to be just below Balta's knee, so probably lower leg and as you say could be calf?

Multiple 6 day breaks. Most would not break out into a sweat all of this week at training.

I’m hoping it’s an impact injury like a corkie.

The injury appeared to be sustained when running full speed (no impact or collision) at contest near boundary in 3rd quarter. Appears to be a soft tissue injury.

It would've been in the Injury report if it was soft tissue you'd think but i know the club plays silly buggers regarding injury and selection

I saw it a bit differently, it was near the boundary and he appeared to get in a tangle of legs with oscar allen

I’d be looking for excuses not to play against Hawk and Cameron as well. Good week to pull a sickie
