Training For 2023

Hugo got 1 out of about 20/25 shots, 40 metres out 45 degree angle, didn’t seem to care even though there were hundreds watching on - that on top of a five buck sausage

If you go back through Caesars training reports there wasn’t a lot to get excite about. Maybe we thought we could flick the switch when the season started. But we can see now our preseason is mimicking our season.

Set Goal Kicking Practice Today:

No wind, perfect conditions and it was quite a shock in how poor they were in general with several laughing every time they missed, I know it is a mickey mouse feel good session but i don't think you would be deliberately missing shots at goal in front of decent supporter turn out.
As others have said this is prophetic.

Who's our forward's coach?
JR8 aside, our set shot kicking is not AFL standard across the board.

Main Training Today:

No Tylar Young
Cotch in managed/rehab group expect he gets a rest.

Prestia training fully.

Good news Gibcus pretty much in full training.

Teams split in what appear A & B teams.

Bauer, Graham, Ross, Miller in A team.

Hugo Clarke Sonsie in B team.

Bauer! Fingers crossed for a debut . Did Grimes train fully? I was thinking it might be time to rest grimesy and not have him play off 3 six day breaks in a row . Unless Grimes plays and instead of Bauer, they’re just going to put Miller down back :oops:surely we can’t go with the same set up last week, just ruck Soldo and Samson FFS

Bauer to replace Young if he's injured. The benefit is that Bauer can be swung forward instead of Balta if the need arises.

Hardwick mentioned today that Gibcus will play a half in the reserves next week. He also mentioned Tarrant as well. Was he training?

Maybe, if we are lucky, they’ve told T Young to clean out his locker and not return. He’s 24 and hopeless, not sure why we would bother persisting with him.

I’d like to see Bauer get a go.

Vlastuin needs a good game.

Any idea what we’ll do up forward from a smalls/ pressure point of view? I think we get more value with Baker back, but not sure what other options we have. Did you see anything at training that might solve this issue?

Cumberland having a good ol laugh before he sprayed his first set shot. Arrogance?

we were all fine with our team laughing during pregame photos in the 2017 GF,

now they have to look all forlorn at all times?

Im not happy about our goal kicking,

but I dont think fair-weather authenticity and vulnerability is really the answer?
