Trade Week - Richmond Only

Looks odd. Must be more to the arrangement.

BTW, that late 30s pick would come in about four picks earlier due to bid matching.
I think I read on here its part of a package deal with various other clubs ultimately landing us #2?

Once again points mean nothing Brisbane's pick 20 was worth 985 points Richmond gave up 1,700 points to get it.
Don't mention the war!

Could it be 10 for 13+29 then 6+29 for 2?

So basically 6+10 for 2+13

Seems a bit lopsided towards us but maybe

Why do we now want a downgrade of 3 places in the first round and a poxy p39? We gave away p32 for nuffink.
Everyone knows picks over 30 are only for points. We don’t need points so shove it.
2 x first rounders for p10 or gagf
Here's my take and it may be completely wrong but if 10 & 11 eventually end up as 7 & 13 then we finally have something North will be interested in to guarantee Tauru. Win/win as we shepherd pick 6 from prying eyes, they get their man and we get picks 1,2 & 6.

If a club wants 1 of our picks, I would only accept 2 1st rounders for next year. True compensation on what these 'experts' reckon this draft is

THEY do to a certain extent as it's a benchmark or guide. You are being obtuse.

For instance if we go to North and say we'll trade you PICK 2 and F2=28 for 10 and 18 North can come back at us and say no as we are out by 814 points which is pick 24. How about we do the deal without a F2 . Then we may as for a F3 and negotiate a deal. You're being narrow minded on the matter and out of your depth i believe. Are you Blair? lol

I did the points calculation so we can rule that out. 7 & 13 is worth more points than 10 & 11
Pity because it is a good idea

The thing is, neither of those deals will happen though. To give up 2, North want Tauru or potentially they may be ok to get Armstrong as a backup. They will need a pick higher than 10 to get them, so there is nothing in it for them.

As others have said repeatedly on here, if North trade for 2, then 6 will have to be included. I can't see any other way to get it regardless of points values, because frankly, they don't care about points values. It does give a benchmark, but its not the driving reason to do any trade, so isn't the primary method to assess value for any trade.
.Fancy finishing 2nd last and only have 2 picks in a deep draft with the 2nd being in Dud Delist range.
Rawlings was put in a corner that he couldn't get out of with the Daniels trade.
They are the most desperate side who wants to get back into this years draft.(They're even putting a for sale sign of their f1.What does that tell you)
We should pounce on our terms.
2 & 62
Vs
11 & 18
Or
6 & 18 - f1>>Our way

I would have thought we are in a really good position to get Melbourne's F1 from Essendon. We may well push for something like their pick 40 as well

Sorry points are still used as clubs try and come up with even deals or deals where they think it's a win win situation. They are a measuring standard and until something replaces them clubs will use them as guides
Really?
Tell me how Points become involved in the Rioli trade for instance?

Post on another forum mentions Richmond in talks with Port / GWS / Richmond involving down grading #10 to #13 + #39

How about #2 and f1 for #11 and #18 - they could possibly then pick 2 quality talls, better than 1 ………..maybe

I still see enormous value in our 2 picks we are giving up and we put pressure on the lolnorf to back themselves to rise up the ladder in 2025.

Yes but how many free extra picks have the AFL given Norf over the last 3/4 years - 12???

Sorry if you can't comprehend. People that can't comprehend normally think everything is crap to them so they apply Strawman tactics and make up or add irrelevant information to the debate. If it was irrelevant as you're saying then why do the AFL clubs use it? There are other criteria and factors list managers use also as you've stated, but they also use this where it may come into play.

Sorry for bringing up irrelevant information like how clubs rank players in the draft rather than the points value of their pick. How very "obtuse" of me to bring up something so irrelevant as a players ability. I'd better go sit in the corner for a timeout.
