Trade Week - NON-Richmond only

Reckon everyone got screwed on the Pick 3 deal, everyone except us

Carlton paid F1+F2+12+Owies for Pick 3, top dollar
Eagles gave pick 3 for owies+baker +12
Richmond got 14

Everyone lost value except Richmond

Blair creamed them
In isolation, the WEagles trading pick 3 for 12 & 14 is a bad trade.

But the WEagles trading 3 for 12 and Baker isnt terrible, especially considering their lack of other options to get a suitable pick for Baker.

Carlton paid their F1 and F2 and a guy who kicked 30 goals this season to go up 9 places in the draft and they are geniuses.
The world has gone mad

On trades can anyone explain why Brisbane traded up to get a pick that will be soaked up by Ashcroft and lose points, seems very strange

When Jason Taylor menaced Kako with pick #5 and Matt Rosa then did business with him I really liked that. Taylor Machiavelli ing the *smile* out of Noobendon.

I'm really enjoying the idea of an arch villain in this draft. The Bogan Blofeld. Jason Taylor noobsploiting duds.

Is Andrew Mackie a noob ripe for sploiting?

What if Mackie walks Bailey Smith to the draft? And Taylor takes him at #9? Dashing Bailey would set that stodgy Melbourne line up alight.

Is Mackie, in trying to hurt one enemy, actually abetting a more dangerous one?

What if Norfs trade down and get picks for Tauru and potentially Bailey Smith?

There are threats here. Andrew Noobie may be ripe. Watch that do gooder Wells 007 step in and save the noob's arse, goddammit.

No idea seems a weird trade that one for Brissy, even if they thought they had enough points, they didn't gain anything out of that move, unless they need that Pick 27 for some other deal that we don't know about right now.

Sharp requested a trade to Melbn, may be part of the deal somehow?

With Bailey's personal issues and Smellbournes cultural problems something would be set alight thats for sure.

Just on Atkins, our mail (from somebody who rhymes with Atkins) was 500+ at the time of the deal. Might a bin 600. Massive coin. If 500 at the time of the deal it would be 650 next year. If 600 it would be near enough to 800 next year.

Atkins is on big coin. (YM Cameron the perp or is that derp?) His name is turning up as a lynchpin for a reason. Salary dump. That's part of why Port may want more.

Understand that Atkins is on $400k next year in final year.

He ain't the salary dump.

Atrocious is ($900k+ for next two). That's who they need off the books for Rioli and Noble.

Just don't think most (port) have cottoned on.

If they wait GC out they'll get him for nix.

Ah. Ok, Bryan. Our mail was from early in the contract. From Ol' Freddy Fatkins. (I sent off earlier to check with Gerald Fatkins. Update.) Maybe front loaded. But 400 is 400. For a bloke who hasn't played ones for ten years.

On Atrosius, 900, eh? Absolutely the kind of money Cameron would have him on. And as you say, he is the big dump in this deal. New nick for Atrosius? The Big Dump, or too cruel?

by my calculation they can match a bid @2. But not have points for Marshall.
But they will trade Robertson and Sharp, which will give them points, but neither the Dees or the WEagles really have any picks worth swapping with 27.
There must be something in the works though.

Musta got a written agreement from us not to pick Ashcroft at 1 so they don't need the 2400 points.
Maybe they're still getting some more points trading out a couple of spuds.
Maybe they've surrendered n are gunna let us have him at pick 1 n they're gunna ream the mid tier of the draft. :)) :)) :))

Collingwood have done well on this. Unfortunately. Noble was not worth pick 13. Joey Richards was already going to Port anyway and Collingwood were hardly in a position to ask for anything of consequence for him yet he magically becomes a part of the trade. Houston will be a significant plus in their backline. Damned shame.

Agree, all hinges on how well Colonwood play next season.
