Trade talk 2019/20

Been a great effort from the club to retain just about every player we needed to retain. I doubt it , however I wonder if we just may pull a late trade swoop .

Collingwood is having a stock take sale and on the verge of a salary cap crisis, but stupid clubs are coming to there rescue.
They could end up with 3 picks in the top 12 this year.
That makes me sick.
Clubs shouldve been offering 3rd or 4th rounders for there players.
They would've had no option by 7pm tomorrow but to off load them.
They will lose TAB, Phillips and Treloar, they will clear cap space, sign up Milocheck and Degoey and end up with 3 top 12 picks
Yeah, I just don’t get it. Why help bail out a contender. Let them dig themselves out of their own *smile*.

Not sure what to think about Allir Allir and Port deal - seems relatively cheap for a future 2nd rounder. ALthough 4 year contract wow.
Like the way Allir plays footy, reckon either Pordadalayde have made out like bandits or Sydaknee too locked into their slow strangulation style of footy to appreciate a player with a bit of get up n go.
Wouldn't have complained if we'd had a decent sniff at him.

What we want tommorow at 7.31pm
*Essendon give away 2 first rounders for Dunkley
*Treloar stays at Collingwood.
*TAB goes to North for pick 33
*Higgins + our first this year to stkilda for Stkilda's first and 2nd next year.
*Geelong give away 3 first rounders for Cameron :rotfl1
*Hawthorn tell Collingwood pick 67 for Phillips
* Richmond get Fyfe for 2020 3rd rounder

Wasn't that just a caller proffering? RFC would get nothing for Garthwaite if he did leave and wouldn't blame him for doing so if there was an offer out there.
Earlier suggestion that Port were also interested. Garth did very well when he was given the opportunity with us, and would be a regular at St Kilda.
Could bring a break through on the Jack trade.

It's obvious that with no exposed form ,pick 10 is not much better than pick 30,and north is going to try old style selections by the more u pick the more chances u have to get decent quality AFL players ,a bit like when essendon drafted hird with a pick 70 odd, best chance in 25 years to identify a star with a rubbish pick.

No way can't lose Cathwaite, he is a gun. I reckon nothing less then a first rounder.

#Do people from Stkilda visit this forum?? Shhhh

The trade period is harder to read for sure, it’s like half the draft did their ACL in February.

Older teams like Geelong could really struggle to refresh their lists if clubs do t value draft picks for players.

I suppose some clubs look at Collingwood's fire sale and figure they might be able to trade in some talent.

Still think they will be paying overs though.

After watching their 2nd half in the grandfinal, especially the last qtr., they are going to be praying that the AFL keeps with the shorter qtrs, or even shortens them further.

Old legs struggling to run out shorter games. Wait til we go back to normal length games. They are going to get owned.

Last night on Fox John Ralph
said 'Geelong are loading up now because they promised Danger a premiership" WTF

Leigh doofus Montagna also said Higgins is an upgrade on Ablett.

Clueless.....

Agree. I just dont understand the logic of the Bulldogs looking at Treloar. He's not a bad player I guess. But way too expensive no matter what % the Pies pay.
Then - putting aside the money component, he's prob the least type of player they need. They have so many midfielders. They need quality defenders and even a quality wingman. Honestly just cant see what he adds to their team.

Then to even consider Dunkley for picks this year in a draft year like no other is just weird.
