Toby Greene

Collingwood wont be able to stop Greene Eddie will be pushing hard AF for him to be rubbed out.

Greene is a grub and needs to be sorted out.

I would really really love to know what Dyl Alex and Dave will do if Greene tries it, and one of our blokes gets hurt. Could get nasty.

Did it to Broad last year.

Broady proceeded to physically shut him out of the game and then did it again to him in the Prelim.

If anybody in the AFL or any player or coach can condone this dangerous action, when the AFL has been banging on about “duty of care” to the players, they should be shown the bloody door.

The argument that it’s no different than using the knee is an argument put forward by idiots. Firstly the knee still allows a player to get close to the mongrel that uses it and there are a few about that do it constantly. Secondly the extended leg keeps a player at a further distance and in no way allows a player to get close enough to effect a contest. Thirdly, how would the so-called experts and a Leon Cameron like to get a boot full of studs in the guts and smile about it like Cameron did; knowing his team mate just got away with murder by being allowed to take his kick!

This should be a reportable offence pure and simple. Wake up AFL and stop pushing your obvious agenda of getting GWS into the grand final with such outrageous hypocrisy.

He's been scared of Dave since he hit Rance and Astbury threatened to break him in half.

Could see at least 5 of our defenders being reported in one game because of this lil prick.

Dave, Tross, Tigga, Grub and Nathan :hihi :hihi

Agree and a low act. There was a reason soccer made exposing studs to players an illegal act and made it a mandatory red card.

AFL need to act before someone really gets hurt.

I think opposition players need to make a statement also - ie show the media their stomach with the stop mark bruising etc.

Greene knows what he is doing

It astounds me there are muppets out there like Kornes that actually defend Toby the scumbag!
Can you imagine the vitriol and gnashing of teeth if any other forward was trying this stunt?
Greene is a half arsed Eric Cantona, karma will catch up with him....always does!

This is so simple: it is kicking, you get many weeks for kicking. Report him, rub him out, he won't do it again.

If the AFL won't take action then someone will, someone will lift his leg when he kicks them or someone else will line him up and run through his knee - surprised it hasn't already happened.

May as well post part of what I put in another thread here....

Section 15.4.3 of the laws of the game talks about permitted contact with hips, shoulders, chest, arms and open hands. No mention of feet - therefore NOT permitted. Again - FEET NOT PERMITTED

Further, Section 15.4.5 talks about contact that’s not permitted. Kicking is one of those things. Unduly rough action is another.

Commentators need to get themselves a copy of the laws of the game rather than make stuff up based on what they sort of reckon is sort of fair based on a sort of vibe. They are easily available on line.

The rules are clear. And yes, that means you can’t make contact with the knee to hold out. Jumping for a mark is different to holding out. If Greene put his knee up and got the swans bloke in the happy sacks, he’d be rubbed out for a month.

This kind of conduct has hardly ever happened on the field. But here we have a serial offender, already having caused nasty injury on field, with a "technique" that 99.9% of people recognize as against the spirit of the game, dangerous, probably against the rules anyway, and low. And the AFL won't do anything about it!

While I despise Greene as much as anyone, you can't blame the player in this instance.

The AFL is to blame for only fining Greene last year when he did a similar thing and kicked Dalhaus (?) in the face.

Basically gave the green light for it to continue. Had they suspended him, not sure he would still be doing it.

Currently legal although not head high (as per last year), shouldnt be legal, AFL need to put a stop to it..

Agree with others that its against the spirit of the game and only a flog like Greene would use it regularly.
