Thoroughbred racing

Geez that is terrible. Very sad for Dean and family and friends.

It has been a terrible run of falls resulting in bad injuries, and now a death, lately.

Horrible stuff. Heart goes out to his family.

Dangerous undertaking the sport of kings. It’s a sober reminder that we may lose $20 on the punt, but the jockeys may lose their life. Puts a losing bet into perspective.

Ok lads, the bookies are giving us a gift on one today.

Some horses you just know when to catch (and other you never can). This is one that is in the former.

Private Eye in the Victory Stakes (race 8) at Eagle Farm.

When this guy gets right conditions

dry track tick
group 2/3 opponents tick
sprint distance tick

There's not a horse that can sprint with this guy.

Combine that with great race shape, barrier, jockey and the $2.70 currently in betfair is a gift from the gods!

Load up Load Up Load Up!

Hah hah hah. Ah geez. You’d think as the oldest person on PRE with infinite false predictions and failed tips galore, that eventually old Nobet Pays would get one right. But no the drought continues. And it’s short priced favourites all the time too !! Unreal.

Give it away NobetsMoleman you silly old fool.

Dubai Honour going around in the QE11 Cup at Shat In today.

Is $4 on the tote at the moment, will keep an eye on it, if he starts at that price I'll have a piece of that.

Got smacked by Romantic Warrior. Ran 3rd but well beaten.

As much as everyone raved about Anamoe, the fact is DH donkey licked him in the QE Stakes in Sydney. The other fact is that our middle distance WFA horses are not very good by global standards. DH couldn't win in HK and there would likely be a dozen better middle distance WFA horses than him in Europe.

On the other hand our sprinters are clearly world class; probably the best.

Ah geez I wish I had have read this post before backing Private Eye yesterday. I really like him but was worried he hasn't come up this preparation. Now I know why!! The curse of Leysy!! Ha ha ha.

Even if you forgive his TJ Smith effort on the heavy track (actually has solid heavy form) that run yesterday against B graders was poor. Hasn't come up.

Yeah, I watched it, the horse who ran second, Prognosis (Japanese horse) was a good run, missed the kick and got home well.

$3.50 plus a multiplier Think About It in the Stradbroke today. Money for jam; bolted in.

The Everest clash between him, I Wish I Win and Giga Kick will be epic.

The King has just got his first winner at Ascot. Valiant King ran second, now there's an omen quinella if ever there was.
