Both were terrible. Ride on Queen Leonora was disgraceful, ran into more rear ends in the straight than was possible, very frustrating. The Ceremony just never looked comfortable. Not sure why the track seems wet? (not that that is an excuse ...... yet)

Apologies to any who are out of pocket!

No worries T44, no real damage done to my pocket.

Queen Leonora jumped well and looked to be box seating, then continued to go back through the field, then got home ok apart from running up the arse of a few.
After watching the next race the surface looks great but isn't playing too well. There's a fair bit of kick back, it looks like it might be a bit sandy or something like that. Good luck with them.

yeah, didnt see the second one, but QL looked very reluctant to run, probably making it tough for the jockey? wet?

Might be a new surface, there's a lot of kick back which looked to have a fair bit of sand in it.

Jockey admitted his error and poor ride, thought she should have been in finish. The other one (The Ceremony) copped a couple of clods of turf and didn't like it - wasn't ridden out and just eased down so no real guide but she does go ok.

What can D Moor do to I'm Buxom Thusday night ?

Such is life and we are still the reigning premiers.

Go Tigers

3yo against the mares so might be a partial excuse there too.

Geez the barriers for the preferred are terrible. Need some Unco inspiration.

your inspiration is lying in a gutter somewhere Elmer.

C'mon, find us a winner.

back Winx?

Was looking at K.McEvoy double but instead went Almandin (R8,1 @$3.65) into Ravi (R10,5 @$7) for a combined $25.55 @ $10.

Here’s hoping a big collect for one of our less fortunate bretheren.

Well we are back to the start for the Unco's and its a long line of donuts. Technically, Spook tops the leaderboard having lost no money with his abstinence strategy. He may bet at any time.

Berne is up this week. We officially need a winner.

easy ($0)
44 ($0)
JB($0)
Leysy($0)
Tigerman($0)
Tigersnake($(0)
Spook

Elmer ($0)

PREunco's -$90

Thanks Easy.

I might be calling it a bit early, but Love Shack Baby is nommed for Kemble this Saturday.

Looks well suited and Pfieffer is confident.

very gutsy run.

Well, we will stay the course for the Hawkesbury Guineas with him.

Got him each way today at 25:75 as he drifted. I was concerned about the Waterhouse/Bott horse and rightly so, as it won. But for a long while I thought we had it beaten.

Great day overall with trapeze Artist winning the All Aged. Liked this horse since it won the Black Opal in 2017 plus it’s great to see black & yellow in the winner’s circle.

Three Gp1s in a season as a 3yo. Great result.

Will he spell and head to The Everest or be siphoned off from the track to a stud career?

I will be controversial here and ask, did Waller dodge a bullet here and not back up Winx? Is Trapeze Artist the best horse in Australia, after all he broke the track record and he is a 3yo! Think about it and respond.

Winx would have given him wind burn.

x2.

kementari monstered trapeze artist in the hobartville and the guineas

then Winx monstered kementari.

I reckon they'lle try The Everest with Trapeze Artist.

Leads me to a question:

They talk about retiring these great 3 yo colts to stud. Why dont they just cover a couple of mares in the paddock during their winter spell and race the 4 yo spring and autumn? Do they risk injury (my bull strains his forelegs often)? Is it no spell at all? Seems to me like they could have a bob each way and get some early progeny racing, insure the bloodline, and tuck a few more lucrative group 1's under the belt before the full time stud duties.
