Thoroughbred racing

I just watched Winx get beaten by 3 lengths.

It was a barrier trial, she wasn't asked to do too much. The winner Music Magnate might be one to follow.

Winx has never finished better than third in 13 career barrier trials.

Joey moriera is the best jockey in the world by a few lengths. Not only is he extraordinary at piloting a horse, he reads form almost perfectly. That's why he rides so many winners. He jumps on them as much as he steers them.

HK mile tonight a perfect example. He jumped off Pakistan Star cause he knew it couldn't run a mile, and then steers the winner perfectly.

Obviously, I backed it.

Music Magnate kicked their brains in today.

For those with deep pockets and short memories, Mossbeat goes around at Moonee Valley tonight in race 4, only a 7 horse field which is disappointing as makes an each way bet limited to only two place dividends. She should run well, will need a few breaks at the right time as likely to settle behind the leaders but should give a good account of herself as she always does. I have backed her but that is blind faith!

Good luck T44. I have had a crack.

Winx at $1.20 tomo scuttles my all up plan on her.

Jameka to run a drum in the CF Orr @ 4's is my bet for the day.

couldnt resist a little on the nose at 30's also.

No 4yo with $4m in $$$ and a 5:2.1.1 record on the track should be $30.

A lot of champs have won the C.F. Orr

Anything less than a five-year riding ban for Josh Cartwright is unders. Could have killed Holder.

Winx is unbeatable at WFA.

Hartnell is the 2nd best horse in the land. 3-4 lengths better than the 3rd best over 2000, 6 lengths behind Winx.

Hes never gonna beat her. Ever.

My question is this.

Hes a gelding, so you wanna rack up prize money. Why not run him in Melbourne (Australian Cup) when Winx is in Sydney (QE stakes)

first prize in the Aust Cup is more than 2nd in the QE, and heaps more fun surely? Win the Caufield Cup with him, instead of running 2nd on the Cox Plate?

Hartnell beats Jameka easily and wins the Aust Cup, if he starts. Hes currently $6 in all in markets in that race due to the doubt he starts. If he does start, which makes perfect sense, he wins.

Probably a good idea easy, but I want Hartnell to race against Winx every start she has because I got the quinella yesterday and it paid $2.70. I didn't even expect it to pay $2.

Chautauqua is racing like he wants more ground, I wouldn't mind watching he and Winx clash over 1400 or 1600 metres. At his best she would know she was in a race.

Best we get this thread rolling again students. Lightning Stakes Sat, who we like??
Hard to go past the two 3YO stars of the spring. Star Turn for me. Put em both in a quinella.

Well done jb03 - 3rd win from 33!

Happy days. Got a bank for tomorrow now.

Mossbeat going around again at the Valley this Friday evening, in the last race. Up 2kgs on last win but is fit and well and will be honest again (as always). Each way all day!

Master of Arts (MV, R6) should be rock hard fit after three runs back. Gets to 2500, has a great record around this distance.

Acatour (R'hill R6) is a bit of a favourite of mine. Returning at 1400 against some good horses but double figure odds hard to resist.

I like Heatherly Leysy, without much confidence. very hard race to pick and so im going with the Ellerton schooling down the flemington straight.

Leysy I like Supido each way too, as well as Wazzenme in the CS Hayes. Both very good fields.
