I've had a big crack at Hey Doc at $4 to win the Australian Guineas. If it runs out the mile it wins.

great work spook. sometimes when a horse pulls, its just saying "let me win"

I had some too and came out with enough for some margarita ingredients for mrs. easy, after an extraordinary run of bob-of-the-head 2nds.

Bet of the day tomorrow is Liapari in R4 at Flemington. Going for three on the trot, in great form and loves the mile. Ollie aboard, he'll get back and thunder home. Take the $5.

I've had a big crack at Hey Doc at $4 to win the Australian Guineas. If it runs out the mile it wins. Had a bit on Seaburge as well. Drawn to get a much better run than last outing and should improve.

The other at good odds is Turbo Miss in R5. $11 into $9, placed both starts this prep, Weir/Williams combo, drawn to get a soft run.

Staying well away from the Sydney Swamp.

Well done spook.

Cheers lads, good day. Would have been astoundingly good if not pipped at the post in each of the last two races.

I backed Cadillac Mountain too, i'm still shaking my head.

I had a go at Limitless tonight in the last at Sha Tin. Never thought I'd see the day I was cheering a horse home to beat the one carrying my cash. The Magic Man does that to you. Eight winners from 10 rides. Back Weir drink beer, back Moreira drive a Porsche Carrera

funnily enough, I have a love hate relationship with Joe.

If ive backed his mount, i love him. If Ive backed something else, I hate him.

Jameka by 2L tomoz.

I have had 3 and 4 leg place multi's combing Alizee, Into Orbit, Sebring Dream, Smart As You Think, The United States and a real roughy Sold For Song.

Good luck everyone.

i was counting my money at the 200m.

a good horse beat her.

Im backing an extraordinary number of 2nds this year. Makes me think I should whump the Tigers for the flag, and least well make the granny.

Monster run Easy.

You were dead stiff there brother.

I think her barrier, and humidors talent can be blamed.

I got uncharacteristically spooked (by the barrier) at the tote and went EW, so not much damage done.

A significant loss of margarita opportunity though.

Ha.

Humidor had the cosy run brother.

Wouldn't be spooked by loading up on her again against him.

I'll stick with her leysy, but I think I may have spotted the next big thing. Stay tuned.

So its flooding down on the farm and my options for the day are fold the washing, make a pot of soup, review the weekends racing tapes, or contribute to PRE.

Showing any aptitude for folding washing is a fools paradise, and the soup is simmering away. Chicken and garden corn. With plenty of ginger, chilli and a touch of star anise

So I reviewed the tapes, always with an eye for the next best thing, and here I am.

What I look for in the next best thing are 1. rare turn of foot under pressure (plenty have it at the end of a soft run, after its all gone to plan) and 2. the ability to win when they have no right to, when things have gone drastically wrong.

The last next big thing I identified, evidenced by backing her at $8 to win 2015 Cox plate, after her 2015 Epsom win, when she fulfilled 1. and 2. above, was Winx.

Im not saying this filly will be in the same league as Winx. Nothing will be for at least a generation. I'm saying she will take some peoples breath away in several group 1's over the next 3 seasons.

Now that Ive backed her to win the Doncaster, carrying 49kg, at 50-1, I'm happy to share my next big thing .........

Foxplay up to a mile. watch the tape of The Phar Lap last Saturday. McKevoy was flogging her at the 600, steered her into a no through road, pulled her almost to a standstill to find a way, and then she makes several lengths in 200m off a standing start

,in a withering burst.

Foxplay. The next big thing.

I dont mind talking to myself.

The Golden Slipper? I dont really understand 2yo's, especially in a quagmire. so I'll be punting with restraint.

But I reckon lumping 63kg around wears 'em out, and so im prepared to lay Houtzen.

Catchy looks like a superstar, and if they duct tape some melamine dinner plates to the bottom of her hooves, should win.

I have Hartnell as BOD. He is the second best horse in Australia, 9L behind the best and 8L better than 3rd best.

Ive got a feeling Winx could be tested today, and I think Hauraki is the horse to test her, just like he did 2nd up last prep.

Entirely Platinum to round off the day in MR8

Quagmire is right in Sydney. Staying out. Bet of the day at Flemington is Theanswermyfriend in R2.
R4 - Arctic Angel, Shoals
R8 - Jacquinot Bay, Hazabeel, Entirely Platinum
R9 - Queen of Wands

I like Houtzen.

Not sure Catchy ran a great time in the BD (though it did win against the pattern).

Winx = WOW!!
