I black booked it after it's last start, but i'm not keen on the barrier. The same reason why i didn't back Astern last start :'(
A wise man who might be posting in this thread once told me there are no bad barriers, just bad jockeys. He's had two runs back at 1200, and 1400 will suit. In beautiful condition. Overraced last time out but finished strong. Will go forward and finish strong. Value at the price.

Last race in the wet at Caulfield.

Wider the better.

V.True re bad barriers/jockeys.

Leysy will give you another - The worse the barrier the better the price.

OK, leysy likes:

Caulf

Race 7 No 6 Santa Ana Lane

Race 8 No 13 Tom Melbourne

Race 10 No 7 Lord Durante

Good Luck all especially Dyer'ere's Plot the Course.

For the weekend, I have a very small share in one going around at Morphettville on Saturday, race 4 no 3, Mossbeat. Has only won the one race from 25, is always around the money. Transferred from Robbie Griffiths to David Hayes & Co and doesn't mind a damp track - her only win was on a bog at the 'Bool a few years ago. Has run some good races in Group company but not quite up to that level. This is a Benchmark 75 so a long way down in grade. Worth a dollar or two each way, maybe more the place than the win.

Good punting

Didn't have much luck, T44. Something beaten IMO.

Here's the replay for the fans - http://www.theracessa.com.au/show_video.php?track=30072&date=2016-09-17&race=4&trial=no

A gutsy run, not the greatest ride i've ever seen.

Thanks for putting that up Dyer'ere - just what I needed to watch that again! I assume they don't have an inside rail in SA because the jockey didn't get anywhere near it. At least we know she can run 1400m - must have covered about that far.

Beside watching that butchering also spent the day at local footy Vermont v Balwyn (I'm a Vermont boy) and watched ex tiger Nathan Gordon kick 5 of their ten to beat us by 12 points - pretty crap day all round.

Well done to easy with Jameka.

Have another one probably going around in SA next week - hopefully not with D Dunn Jnr aboard. Will post more later.

It bodes well for the future, T44. As for Junior, sheesh. Good luck for during the week.

Axiom of racing #063 - After an apprentice jockey's name a number is written. It's called the 'claim'. You add that number to the weight the horse will carry. If a horse is to carry 60kg but the apprentice claims 3kg, the horse will effectively carry 63kg. If it's a non-claiming race add 6.5kg. (Exceptions <1%.)

Pakistan Star in Sha Tin. Unbelievable. 2 starts for amazing wins. Just wow

They're two of the biggest wins I've ever seen. How many people would've been on hands and knees looking for their betting tickets.

Back to Morphettville again this Saturday (and Mossbeat likely to front there again next Saturday). This time on the parks track which I am reliably informed is a "goat track". Guess it is still the same for all horses regardless.

The horse I have a small share in is Race 2 no 2 Urban Ruler - Jason "Stubby" Holder to pilot, hopefully a bit better than last weeks debacle thank you D Dunn jnr. Has won two of his first four starts, was only 2.8l off some good ones at Flemington a couple of weeks back and did race in the inferior ground. Still being aimed at the Caulfield Guineas but just like Dimma said - we can make finals next year! The eternal optimist as are most horse owners.

Personal opinion - he is just off the Group 3yo's at the moment - but should be very competitive at the next level down. This is a far easier assignment but is priced accordingly. $2.70 into $2.10 already on Sportsbet (none of it was mine). Will wait to see what TAB offers tomorrow but not a lot of value either way. I think he will win.

All care no responsibility.

Friday night at the Valley, a very nice filly by the name of My Country in the Scarborough Stakes (R6). Won 2 from 2 in the winter and just missed resuming two weeks ago in a Listed race, despite spotting Kentucky Miss 1kg and having Dunn aboard. Gets Shinn back here and the extra 100m should suit.

Into $4.80 with Sportsbet but you can still get $6 with Ladbrokes.

Nice work lads and GL 44.

Doing the form for Caulfield ATM and think we have the bet of the Spring to launch at.

Speaking of launching, leysy is 100% for the track on Sat.

JB - you still in? Dyer'ere/Gyps get along boys!!
