Thoroughbred racing

Thanks bogan, keep up your insensitive comments. Just a true reflection.

Racing will have enough trouble from the loony left without censuring people for cheering home a winner. The horse died after the race, in its stall. A horse.

If it emerges that it died of unnatural causes, I hope those responsible are shamed and ruined.

A horse that you quoted as "dead last" after the fact. That is what i have a problem with. Just classy mate. It certainly made me think of horse racing in general.

Black humour. Nobody's gladdened by the horse's death.

Reckon the anti-racing brigade should've been at work today. Principle and all that.

Rumors are a brewing from today. Social media all over these unfortunate deaths. Even people within the industry are raising questions.

High stakes. feel bad for admire rating, I was on it, collected on the c cup. What's to say? It was an arrogant run, if it was delta blues... Went backwards when he snapped. Poor bastard

A bit of an over reaction there Tommy H. Black humour is exactly what it was. As are most black humpur jokes that appear straight after a disaster. It's a way of coping really.

have you never laughed at a Spaceshuttle Challenger joke ?

This is black humour:

In my books, horses dying in a competitive betting race or an aerospace accident is not.
Feel very sick after a great Australian day.

Gallows humour might be a better description then.

A horse? You may not value the life of an animal, and may not be fussed that horses have died for people's entertainment but to dismiss those that do as the loony left is pretty stupid.

Tend to agree Brodders.

It's no doubt a polarising sport.
Ultimately though the animals are there for human entertainment and there are casualties of that.
Even though I have no love for horse racing (actually any racing) I don't really have a strong opinion either way and can see both POVs.
My sense is that this unsavory incident is just part of what happens and horse racing will move on pretty quickly despite the protests.
