Thoroughbred racing

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Thats why we punt....
There is no sure thing. Just love to have a go,...if we win terrific, if not... well always next time,
We have a horse Shock Value in the BMRC Club running on Wed at mornington..over from Perth, ran at Caulfield but was held up twice in the home run.
Think he will be a good chance, but again, just hoping...

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Winmad - impressive record for Shock Value. I don't like interstate horses first-up in Vic as a rule - just as well this is his second run ;D.
Hayes hit some form on the weekend, I've got my fingers crossed for you and may have a sneaky go at him myself.
Good luck Wednesday.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Thanks, he has unfortunately had a bit of a "hicupp" not too bad, so should be OK for Flemington Sat 1200 . We were really looking forward to tomorrow, oh well, always another race day. Hope we can keep Craig.
Must say I do like.... Like an Angel, another WA horse, think he will do well tomorrow, and to me, he was our main danger.
Will be having a little go on him.
I will update you on Shock Value on Friday, let you know what David thinks.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Bad luck Winmad but a Saturday city win at Flemington should read nicely on his CV......

Just finished doing the form for tomorrow and I also have Like an Eagle right in the mix.

Haven't decided exact combo but will donate $50 on a quad. Initial thoughts (I had Shock Value in too).... 1,8,12 / 2,4,7,8 / 5,7,9,8 / 2,8,11,12. Will probably add a couple more in and aim for 10-15%

Good fortune to those having a punt. Keep an eye on Mick Price horses - he likes Mornington.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Marden was scratched last Saturday but is lined up tomorrow at Newcastle. Owners say "worth an each way". As always make your own call.

MARDEN
Newcastle Race 7 No 3 at 5:00

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

The Eagle landed... hope you were on.
Quaddie not looking good....unless you put a $20 pop in!!!
Should be running Sat last race, will let you know friday davids report

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Happy to see the Eagle swoop but like most I didn't have the Tassie boy in the cup. Looking forward to your word on Friday.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Sorry Shock Value wont be going around on Sat. Hasnt come up 100% :( needs more treatment just as a precaution. Will be out prob another two weeks, certainly will let you know when hes back.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

All below rated as e/w chances by the owners.
I haven't looked but Raff would want to be down significantly in class to be any chance. Remember I'm just passing this on, not recommending.

Contract Caterer Doomben Race 2 #1 (ran nowhere)
Raffaello Flemington Race 7 #8 (jumped poorly and decided to walk the rest of the way. Terrible)
Cape Canaveral Geelong Race 7 #3 (scratched)
Marden Warwick Farm Race 4 #10 (last out of the gates and pottered along at rear without ever looking like making a move)

Good luck to all having a go tomorrow.

Free money on Helmet and Beaded this weekend.
Helmet, Beaded, Mosheen all failed tp deliver the free money that was on offer.
Thankfully the Cav restored my faith in the short price favourite.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

I listened to Black Caviar's race on the ABC. The call made it sound like she was nearly defeated. I just watched a replay of the race and the result was never in doubt. When Luke asked her to go she fired the afterburners and took off. Won comfortably. Awesome horse.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Yep craigybabes HayList was second. You can watch the replay here

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Geez ya'd hate to own Hay List a premier top sprinter in his own right thats come along at the wrong time.

How many races has she cost him

hes the Macgill to Caviars Warnie

Ta Aunty Rosmerta ;)

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Hay List in any other era is a champion.

As Moody said just unlucky to bump into an equine freak.

Only her Newmarket win can rank alongside her win today ILO.

I agree on all counts. Bad call by Whately. Wonderful win by a once in a lifetime horse.
