Aidan O'Brien was just on and effectively blamed himself for not having the horse fit enough.

He always going to say that. Just a copout.

He's not going to pot the horse. He needs its reputation at its best for stud.

He's also not going to pot the stable pacemaker who *smile* things up. It was idden by his son leysy thinks.

He actually said it before the race as well. He'd gone easy on SYT to date but hoped he had him fit enough for this race. Don't know if they're serious about running in the Arc, but it's a long way off.

Not keen on their musical chime protest signal either. Sounds like something that precedes the announcement of a late train. Give me the good 'ol Australian air raid siren anyday - much more dramatic.  ;D

PRE Punters Club

New PRE Punters Club Leader as Crossbow romps home for eastlavy

eastlavy shot to the lead of the PRE Punter of the Year 2011 as his selection Crossbow led all of the way to win the 2nd at Randwick. Paying a massive $9.88 for the win resulted in eastlavy collecting $98.80 and winning $88.80 after the $10 outlay is deducted. Great tipping.....

Blood_17's Street Eclipse just couldn't get into the race and finished just behind the place getters - bad luck mate and its still possible that you will get another turn this season.

This week eastlavy - The Champion takes on Son of Francis - The Challenger

Can eastlavy rise to the challenge again? Will Son of Francis arrest the mantle of champion away? All will be answered by the end of the weekend.......

Please have your selections posted on this thread by 11am Saturday. Thanks.......RT

Rosy - Thanks to eastlavy - $88.80 remitted to PRE Admin bank account this evening......cheers RT

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

I'm thinking of skirting around Sydney and Melbourne given the likely state of their tracks. Turning to Adelaide in search of better going:

Morphettville Race 3 No 1 Aashiq (hope that makes it passed the swear filter :) $10 to win

Not the juicy odds that Crossbow ended up at last week, but may drift and hopefully small fish are sweet.

Notice it was nominated for Melb but Hayes has opted for Adelaide for better track conditions. Went close to winning the Maribyrnong Plate in the spring. Hope its class should overcome a lack of race fitness in a restricted race with only 5kg over the limit. One of only two rides on the day for Brad Rawiller.

Good luck Son of Francis and to LeeToRainesToRoach for Saturday. Thanks RT

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Good luck Punters. Long may our winning run continue.

Heading to the game on Sunday RT?

Mate - I only just read the last line of your post from a while back.

No for the first time in a long time I didn't get to the Tigers v Swans game at the SCG as my wifes father took ill and was rushed to hospital. And at 93yo we thought the worst and unfortunately it delivered he passed away - I had to support my wife through the whole difficult time and we are only now just starting to get back into routine.

Even though the Tigers lost I would have loved to have been there just to see the faces of the Swans supporters when we hit the lead in the last quarter.

Hope Adelaide races are as good to you today as Sydney were last week.......cheers RT

Gee $1.90 favourite on the TAB site at the moment. Throw in the Bradley factor and lavvy should have a very nice collect.
