Thanks and same to you. I'm struggling today. No name jumping out to say "pick me". Am I game, or stupid enough, to go against Shadowfax who I've had luck with before. Do I go with Brad's first ride. Big raps but little form. Do I forget Brad altogether and risk him winning without me. I was tossing up about a couple in R6 but that's one race out of the equation for me now thankfully.

I shall get a coffee and give it some more thought. Such serious business. :rofl

Hoping for a failure from the good horses as much as a good run from mine but due to no other inspiration I'll go for Flemington R 5 Horse 6..$5ew on Time Matters please Remote. Seeing he's an 8yo I certainly hope he makes the most of his time today. Do it for the Punters Club Bradley. :help

The rules are simple -

1. Each punting weekend (usually Saturday) there is a challenger and a champion
2. Both the challenger and the champion have $10 to bet - win or place or eachway and/or allup on the thoroughbred horses OR on the AFL.

E.G. Either –
$10 win horse A, or
$10 place horse A, or
$5 win horse A and $5 win horse B, or
$5 win horse A and $5 place horse B, or
$5 place horse A and $5 place horse B, or
$5 eachway horse A, or
For those who wish to dare it is OK to have
$5 win horse A allup a win horse B, and $5 place horse A allup a place horse B, or
$5 win horse A and $5 place horse A allup a place horse B or
$10 a win on an AFL game or
$5 win on an AFL game and $5 a win an AFL game allup another AFL Game or
$10 pick the AFL margin or
$5 pick the AFL margin and $5 pick the AFL scores


3. If you collect more than the $10 outlay and more than your opponent on the day you become the champion next week.

4. Thoroughbred Selections can be at any Saturday metropolitan meeting in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Adelaide. (On weekends where there are Group races on the Monday or Sunday as well as or instead of the Saturday racing the PRE Punter(s) in the chair can forgo the Saturday racing and bet on the Monday or Sunday). Please post your selections on the thoroughbred thread by 11.00am on the day of the races so it gives me time to find them and put them on. AFL selections have to be on Saturday or Sunday games only (no Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Monday or Tuesday games) and please post your selections by 11am Saturday.

5. All profits on your bet (no matter how small) will be posted to Rosy's bank account to help with the admin costs of PRE

6. All bets are put on Remote Tigers Darwin Bookie IASbet.com hence there is no outlay by other members of the Punting Club.

7. A list of all those who have entered will be determined by draw to define the order of punters. Please keep an eye on the Thoroughbred Thread during the PRE Punter of the Year 2011 punting period so you do not miss your turn.

8. A total of collects for each member will be maintained by Remote Tiger and the member with the largest total of collects by the last day of the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival will be announced the PRE Punter of The Year 2011

Apologies (again) folks. Seems my horse selection is almost as bad as our footy team (and Fabulist). The irony being that the race was won by The Tiger! The ones I was watching at the 'G didn't show much fight at all.

I just had a horrible thought, I reckon I lost a one horse race on the weekend! Now that takes some beating. Hope all is ok with Bernie.

Upside Down Week

Tiger44's selection ran like Richmond did against Carlton and Bernie traveled down to Melbourne to see the big game and missed his PRE Punters Club call up. All-in-all a bloody awful Saturday afternoon.

This week we will leave Bernie in the champions chair and call up happytige into the challengers seat Bernie - The Champion takes on happytige - The Challenger

Now that last Saturday is behind us I reckon "we bin it and get on with improving".......where have I heard that before?

Bernie here, I grabbed Louise's iPad.
Let's build the bank early with a couple of shorties early in the day and have plunge on a roughie in the last.
So, in the first at Flemington let's put the tenner straight out on Bolisimo Miss into the Sheikh's Peck in the first at Randwick. Assuming we're still afloat then split the bank each way in the last at Randwick on Valhussle.
Interestingly, the latter was scratched from a f&m 1400m to run in the lower benchmark 1400.
