Both payments have been credited thanks Remote. Awesome tipping fellas. What an amazing change of form compared to our previous run of outs. Good luck to our tipsters this week.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

No problems Remote, happy to wait for the best day's racing on the calander (Derby Day). Happy to avoid the boys from last week as both were very good.

Fabulist might go around at Sale on Sunday but more than likely will be kept for a nice mares race at Flemington on Oaks Day.

Good luck to this weeks punters.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Since I was late last week Remote I'm in early this week after studying the form over lunch today.

Moonee Valley Race 4 Number 5 - Poor Judge ( hope it's not an omen ) -$5 Each Way

Good luck Remote let's bring home some bacon.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Just on tomorrow, I think Shoot Out is the big chance to beat SYT.

Quinella with Zipping as well for navy.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Bad luck tipsters but how good was So You Think. It's really special to see such a superstar in action. He made the rest of the very good horses look second rate. Two Cox Plates in 10 starts must be unprecedented and unlikely to be repeated too often in the future. I had goosebumps as he took off around the bend. He's such a handsome beast into the bargain. Thank goodness he has Bart's services to do his talent justice.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Zipping was very good but I liked whobegotyou's run despite being a little stuck round the bend to get within a few lengths.

What about Black Caviar, unreal, cant wait to see it against haylist.

WBGY would never have been able to run past Zipping despite taking it easy out the back while Zipping did its best to stay in touch with SYT.

I don't think Zipping gets the kudos it deserves. Placed in 3 Cox Plates, Aust Cup winner, Turnbull Stakes winner, good Melbourne Cup runs and a couple of Sandown classics.

BC vs Hay List will be fantastic.

Amazed the quinella paid $8+ Money for jam for us JB.

& an Excellent run by Capecover saw Navy post an extremely profitable day.

Agree. They could have run another lap & Whobe wouldnt have caught Zipping.

The old boy will run another cracking race if they back him up in the Mackinnon this week. Loves the 2000m at headquarters.

Speaking of which, navy cant wait for Saturday. The single best day on the calender.

Also agree on the clash of BC V HL. Will be a race for the ages.

Don't know about you Navy but I've just about had a gutful of lobster. What other high class food can use our surplus on? Black truffles, are they expensive and any good?

The followers are certainly on a roll Disco.

But Tim will probably come up with some excuse about them being Melb Cup tips & not Cox plate.

Navy hears ya. Getting sick of Wagyu steak now.

& yeah Black truffle is pretty good. But the white one's are better, but can only eat so much of them.

Thank christ we don't have to put up with that WBGY being the flag bearer anymore! Even with the race run to suit him (slow tempo), I still thought he wouldn't be able to run into the minors, but as was mentioned he had an easy time of it while the 9yo was busting his smile.

You're right, Jimbob... Zipping is incredibly underrated... I was really critical of the way he was being placed a couple of years back, but the long and short of it is that he's in career best form at 9yo, with 4mil in the bank. Think he's going for his fourth Sandown Classic in a row. If you consider that two of his wins in that race were immediately after competing in the Melbourne Cup, it highlights just how tough he is.

Does anyone have a position on BC and HL? When there's a champion bloke and a champion mare, I always take the bloke... but Black Caviar did an absolute demoliton job on True Persuasion (who goes alright), probably more impressive than the way HL annihilated him at the same course. Can't believe the TAB opened her up $1.8 fixed.

What did everyone think about Gai mentioning So You Think as winning soft races? She may not have been far off the mark, but it just struck me as particularly audacious, considering her mare had been racing against small fields, and had no idea what a 15 horse field looked like before her unimpressive effort against average opposition in the Toorak.

RE: Derby Day. I just can't help but find myself looking forward to the Cup a little bit more. It looms Cup since the great Makybe notched her 3rd win in front of blokes like Xcellent, Leica Falcon & Vinnie Roe. But that Cup lacked depth outside of those runners. Best Cup in my conscious life time as I was too young to remember when rain ruined a potential clash of Better Loosen Up, Let's Elope and Super Impose. Let's hope both Shocking and So You Think pull up nicely.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

I have serious doubts about So You Think running 3200m. But you can never question Bart's logic but a horse who's only run 2000m taking 3200 for the first time against some serious staying opposition, for mine he is a cannot have in the Cup.
