Champ backs winner.

The champ slipped a Ghostmilk into the winners circle and picked up a lazy $26. Less the $10 outlay provides a $16 win for the PRE Punters Club.

Challenger was AWOL but with good reason and has apologised.

I reckon it is only fair that we let these two line up again this Saturday.......

This Saturday 10 July 2010 the champion and challenger are -

Champion = Tannerztigers
Challenger = Tigergollywog

Tannerztigers & Tigergollywog – could you please post or PM me to show that you are ok to be the punters this weekend?

Rosy – PRE Punters Club won $7.98 on the all up place bets the previous Saturday plus the $16 for this last Saturday which equals $23.98 –remitted to the admin account today.

The rules are simple -

1) Each punting day (usually Saturday) there is a challenger and a champion
2) Both the challenger and the champion have $10 to bet - either win or place or eachway and/or allup.

E.G. Either –
$10 win horse A, or
$10 place horse A, or
$5 win horse A and $5 win horse B, or
$5 win horse A and $5 place horse B, or
$5 place horse A and $5 place horse B, or
$5 eachway horse A, or
For those who wish to dare it is OK to have
$5 win horse A allup a win horse B, and $5 place horse A allup a place horse B, or
$5 win horse A and $5 place horse A allup a place horse B

3) If you collect more than the $10 outlay and more than your opponent on the day you become the champion next week.

4) Selections can be at any Saturday metropolitan meeting in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane or Adelaide. (On weekends where there are Group races on the Monday or Sunday as well as or instead of the Saturday racing the PRE Punter(s) in the chair can forgo the Saturday racing and bet on the Monday or Sunday). Please post your selections on the thoroughbred thread by 11.00am on the day of the races so it gives me time to find them and put them on.

5) All profits on your bet (no matter how small) will be posted to Rosy's bank account to help with the admin costs of PRE

6) All bets are put on Remote Tigers Darwin Bookie IASbet.com hence there is no outlay by other members of the Punting Club.

7) A total of collects for each member will be maintained by Remote Tiger and the member with the largest total of collects by the last day of the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival will be announced the PRE Punter of the year, 2010.

Winners elusive – PRE Tipsters flounder in mud.

The PRE Punters Club Tipsters selections last Saturday looked right around the money on paper – but those horses could not produce the goods on the rain affected tracks.

Not to worry – Tannerztiger slipped a penny or two into the jar the previous Saturday and both he and Tigergollywog will get another go before the spring racing carnival is over.

This Saturday 17 July 2010 the champion and challenger are -

Champion = Bignige
Challenger = Bringbakflemmo

Don't know you Blood, but best wishes for a speedy recovery, especially if you had a collect for the Punters club this year. The way the rest of us are going, we need all the help we can get.

BIGNIGE slips in a placegetter and takes the champion chair

Glaze running on into 3rd gave BIGNIGE and the PRE Punters Club a $14.97 return which equals a profit of $4.97

Lordoftheparrots couldn’t get there to help Bringbakflemmo challenge – not to worry you will get another go before the Spring Carnival is over.

Rosy will add the $4.97 profit to this coming Saturday's winnings and then remit to the Admin account

No worries mate I'm up and about this week and all over it like a fat lady on a cupcake!!!!!!

Will be grabbing the form tommorrow and will have the tips in early ;D
(almost took tonic instead of glaze last week too......)

OK RT the challenge is now on........

lets take a couple at the valley for tommorrow

Race 6 number 5 Bonindi - $5 on the nose - likes the track, distance and pace and is fresh, 2 races in from a spell
Race 8 number 1 viking turf belle - $5 on the nose - just has form can't go past it as cover.

The challenge is on my friend - a favorite and one with a bit of value.

Lets hope both come home and we can make a bit of dough for the guys :cupgold :beer
