Thoroughbred racing

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Thanks folks. Well she has had genuine excuses but how long can you keep making them? Tomorrow is a good lead in to another 1600m at Moonee Valley on Friday night 19th March.

The field isn't overly strong and I will be disappointed if she is not around the money but...... I will only be having an each way bet and a medium one at that!

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Good luck 44. Will go down to the local to watch it might chuck a bit E/W on it. No pressure though :hihi

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

LLoyd has a very promising one in the fourth at sandown tomorrow. Won on debut by six, albeit in the bush.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

No excuses, just a very poor run. May need a bit of time in the paddock. Hopefully not too many heavy losses!

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

That was a decent storm at Flemington closing the races for the day. Massive hail stones an inch thick all over the track and a couple of inches of surface water too. Would they add the races that weren't run to next week's program?

Pretty sure they'll add the 2 group 1 races that weren't run to next weeks card rosy.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Thanks Uncle. We've been offered free entry and wining and dining so the extra races would really be the icing on the cake. Still not sure if we'll go or stay home and watch on telly though.

Gee that's a good effort by Oaks winners Bart and Faint Perfume to win first up at 1400 yesterday. A very versatile and classy filly and a master trainer. I wonder how many 15 hh horses have won the Cup?

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Great effort by Black's a Fake and Natalie Rasmussen. 4 Interdominion finals wins from 5 starts is an awesome record. Bet they're a million dollars happy he wasn't retired a couple of months ago as was being considered.

On saturdays card you have:

2 x GROUP 3's
2 x LISTED races

The weather forcast for Saturday is a sunny 25°C which should make for perfect conditions.

Re: Thoroughbred Horse Racing [Merged]

Horror 24 hours for David Hayes with his two imported horses ChangingoftheGuard and Our Aqaleem put down.

PRE PUNTERS CLUB 2010

The first day of champion and challenger punting is upon us –

The rules are simple -

1) Each punting day (usually Saturday) there is a challenger and a champion
2) Both the challenger and the champion have $10 to bet - either win or place or eachway and/or allup.

E.G. Either –
$10 win horse A, or
$10 place horse A, or
$5 win horse A and $5 win horse B, or
$5 win horse A and $5 place horse B, or
$5 place horse A and $5 place horse B, or
$5 eachway horse A, or
For those who wish to dare it is OK to have
$5 win horse A allup a win horse B, and $5 place horse A allup a place horse B, or
$5 win horse A and $5 place horse A allup a place horse B

3) If you collect more than the $10 outlay and more than your opponent on the day you become the champion next week.

Please post your selections on the thoroughbred thread by 11.00am on the day of the races so it gives me time to find them and put them on.
