RIP Jeff Hook.

I loved his cartoons everyday in the Hun....especially the hidden hook.
Was alwats fun to look for the hook. He forgot it once and published an apology the next day. I wonder how many people thought they saw it.

There were times when I spent half-a-day interrupting my work looking for it. In other words, Hook got me hooked. ;D

He drew some good red herrings on symbols that looked a bit like the hook.

Besides that, some brilliant humorous cartoons from the great man....sports, media, politics etc.

The polka dotted dress he did for Joan Kirner was great.

Was that the guy who died in hospital in Russia while there for the World Cup?

Jarrod Lyle ( golfer ) has stopped his treatment. Eye sight has deteriorated.

Battle with the C finally taking a toll. Is in palliative care.

His interview with Andy on SEN I think 3 weeks ago was just on. Had to pull over. Was in tears.

I'm sad

Why I ask myself. Life can be cruel.
Has a lovely wife and two girls 6 & 2).

I noticed this too. He's still around.....

Let's also say RIP to Ian Stanley in the golfing world. He set up the Jack Newton fund when that disaster with the chopper happened in 1983.

I was always thought Tandberg started that... But both used it. I think she said she never wore a polka dot dress on official business but she was a politician after all.

RIP young man.

Just heard the news.

You are at peace now no longer in pain & suffering.

Condolences to the family. You feel for his little girls. It was nice what SEN done earlier this week to raise over $150k for Jarrods daughters education.

In tears.

Well said. Hideki donated a lazy $50k to that fund.

Sounds like he was a great guy.

And looking at his record he was a very talented golfer that probably didn't get the chance to show his best. Produced good results from limited opportunities really.
