Indeed.

I'd say it's already packed. With Brian Johnson's ear issues he hasn't really got a band anymore.
All good things come to an end. :guitar

Don't know if you knew, but Dire Straits " Sultans of Swing" is about George and Harry. Guitar George.

Interesting. Wish I could find a verification from Mark Knopfler. It seems to be one of those things where someone has joined the dots, and the suggestion has morphed into a widely-accepted fact.

Rob Astbury - his is a voice of my youth.

I remember Rob. Can't remember but something happened and he went downhill and into the oblivion. Long time no see. How young were Hitch and Mitch in that video. RIP Rob.

TT33 just came across your posting & to Rosy.

Sorry to hear.

RIP

Thanks Nomorewaiting.
The saddest thing about it is, he was universally loved. There was over 500 at the funeral, yet he must have felt so alone. Almost to a "man" the comments were that " we wished that we'd known his predicament" because we could have helped him.
But like so many blokes he was reluctant to burden his friends with what he must have felt was "private stuff that blokes should be able to handle on their own".
Which is just so wrong, we all should be able to talk about things & get the support we need at various times.
we all face challenges during our lifetime & having the support of family & friends can help us cope with these situations.

I have tears in my eyes as I type this post because a friend I loved has left us far too soon.

We men must get better at talking about things when we're having a tough time of it. True friends won't say " stop your whinging". True friends will say "how can I help".

TT33 it is hard.

Sometimes you cant do a thing. No matter what you say or how hard you try.

When the black dog hits , it can hit with such force that you want the pain to end and no more burdening friends & family.

Take care TT.

I'm sure he knew how much you loved him but some men cant talk to other men , let alone their families..

The great Malcom young has passed away.

Australia’s greatest band by a long way imho.

Very sad. big part of a lot of Aussies lives growing up. A national treasure

Widely regarded as one of the greatest rhythm guitarists ever.

My 7yo son has recently discovered a love for Back in Black (the song). Music for the ages.

First saw AC/DC in 1975, ears are still ringing. Back in Black, the greatest Album ever.
RIP Malcom and thanks for the memories.

Saw them on Malcolm's last tour in 2010. Even then he was having to re-learn the songs before each show.

Also Gillian Rolton, heroic at the Atlanta Olympics.

R.I.P.

Gillian Rolton - just watched the video of her amazing effort at Atlanta - staggering mental strength. Watching her fall the second time, and will herself back on her horse knowing she has broken ribs and a broken collarbone is inspirational. RIP

Not an equestrian aficionado but did watch that. It was an amazing effort and as you say, inspirational.
RIP Gillian
