The "Richmond Specialists" - present and past

Brent Harvey take a bow...

Richmond Specialist par excellence. ;D

Has feasted on Tiger meat for years.

Just does it time after time. I would use the term bunny but I don’t it does justice to what he does to Matt White & Daniel Jackson.

after the great richmond defender paul barlow went to play country footy after his sensational career at the tiges was over , people over the fence would yell "look out abletts coming' . snr kicked 14 on him.

Buckley wasn't always great against us was he. Or was it just that I hate him?

Duncan Kellaway used to feast on his guts. And Dunc routinely humiliated Mark Ricciuto. (In the spirit of the Nathan Bower's *smile* is Peter Matera notes above.)

BTW Duncan had his nose broken by each of the those players after keeping them to a half dozen or a dozen touches. Bickley broke it again one day, presumably after our man had destroyed Mark Ricciuto.

More Richmond bunnies? You will never hear Steve Silvagni say a bad word about Richo because the fullback of the century only played on him a few times. Richo used to wipe the floor with him. (BTW Silvagni is a gentleman on the topic.)

Drew Petrie, Nathan Thompson and Ben Graham (as a forward) are similar types. Big bodied players with a tendency to chest mark.

I remember a Friday night game the Rocca sisters did a number on us. That was hard to take.

I have nightmares of John Blakey running free off the half back line and pumping it into Carey, but he was no spud.
Kosi has kicked a bag against us.
Mitch Robinson is clearly shaping up to be the current day specialist.

Leigh Adams is putting together a nice cv against us.

Good pick up - not sure how well Leigh plays against other sides but could be an emerging Richmond Specialist.

North players are well represented in this thread! Just goes to show how long they have had our measure and how many of their players seem to circle games against the Tiges when the fixture is released.

Leigh Montagna, absolutely loves playing against us. I reckon he's been in their best players against us nearly every time we've played them

Busustow!

That name gives me the chills.

Remember standing under the 3kz scaffolding at Princes Park ,under the great Jack Dyer, watching Carlton and Bosustow tear us a new one.

They used to kill us on their home ground and there is no worse place to be when you are on the receiving end there.

Remember on the TV replays ,you would hear this obnoxious whistle by a supporter strategically placed near the mic everytime Carlton scored a goal there.

Used to wind me up.

There was a time we couldn't lay a hand on Andrew McCloud - he'd just run the length of the ground and do what he liked.

Glen Archer used to scare the hell out of Richo too.

I remember Sam Kekovich took some stopping - I was pretty young then so it might have been only one game.

You can add the softest footballer who ever walked the earth, Ryan Houlihan, to the list.

Speaking of Carlton goalsneaks, Fraser Murphy used to carve us up every time we played the Blues.

Archer came out after retirment and admitted they use to try and tunnel Richo.
bit of a low act imo
