The "Richmond Specialists" - present and past

Isn't the point of this thread to name blokes who only seem to get up for us but are hacks otherwise? Because pretty much every gun of the last three decades has torn us apart over the years: Carey, McCleod....even half decent players like Gehrig.

Lance Whitnall.

Josh Fraser.

Tom Hawkins.

Ablett Snr by a street - he always woke up with the sunshine beaming out his backside when he knew he would be playing us on the G

Dunstall in a close second (still hate the day he kicked 17 on us)

Absolutely. And Lockett - didn't he once say he "bars up at the thought of playing Richmond", or is that just a footy forum rumour?

But these guys were champs. How about some of the "chumps" who looked top-shelf for those 120 minutes they played Richmond each year?

Peter Matera used to get beaten by Nathan Bower every time they played.
I still can't work out how. :headscratch

Brad the worst captain ever Green ........ minus last week thou, but still could have snagged a few if he kicked straight in a quater in a half

Yep I was thinking Ben Graham.

Yeah him for sure. LOL at Frawley after Graham had kicked another half dozed saying "who would have thought that Graham would do that", despite Graham doing exactly that in pretty much all previous games against us.

Don't remember Fraser doing much but Whitnall made us look like amateurs on a regular basis. Hawkins possibly an emerging Richmond Specialist

The one that did it for years and years was Corey Jones from North. I don't how many times he kicked a bagful against us but it seems to be every year for 6 - 8 years and then he would be dropped with 3 - 4 games after playing us!

Good one Whacker, Jones had a touch of the "Wayne Careys" when - and only when - he played us!

Yeah I was thinking of the GC game with Fraser. And yes I suspect Hawkins is a future serial Tiger antagonist. His game against us this year was probably close to the best of his career so far.(maybe we should try and trade for him purely as a preventative measure ;D)

Think the Bower Bird must have pecked Matera's shiny gold nuggets or something. Matera used to get harassed to the point of explosion regularly by Nathan, it was usually the only highlight of the day for us.

#1 and no doubt Corey Jones........
Absolute Spid although against us even when his career was over dropped 7 on us
Ultimate Spud was Jones
