If Jade is still in it by tomorrow afternoon - then the "process" isn't working.

If thats the case then stuff it - Just beat North to Hardwick.

Agree. I can't see any point in taking 10 days to make a decision.

What about Hinkley and Richardson?

Looks like Jade is out of the race after today.

Hope he continues to tell some more home truths in the meantime.

What home truths has he told? He said the problem is mental. It isn't mental, it is lacking the requisite set of skills to be good AFL footballers.

I think you'll find that Rawling's has just been scared for life. He will never be ready as a senior coach after that performance destroyed his already "Slim" chances.

Development coach's, and recruiters and senior coach all responsibe.

Cracks me up and makes me ::) how many people on here with absolutely zero/zilch/nada/no FIRST HAND knowledge of the candidates, generate perception based on an agenda, deluded fantasy and/or media hype.

Hands up who on here has worked directly with any of these blokes in their current assistant coaching roles......
Hands up anyone who knows them personally, let alone their ability in a football environment...... :tumbleweed

none of this chinese whispers, 'I've heard' 'from all reports' it appears' or other matter of fact 'opinion', its predominately uneducated guesswork.

Unless any of you have worked directly with any of the candidates, your opinion on whether they are capable to do the job or not is potentially uneducated, uninformed and quite possibly just a rehash of someone else's opinion.

The media spout that Hardwick has been involved with 3 flags but people worry about his ability to develop players... based on what???????

The media say Richardson is a great developer of talent but people worry about his tactical nous or game day ability.....based on what?????

Hopefully people can accept the new coach knowing the club has done all it can to identify the best person available.

Yeah I learn't my lesson well today. I actually wanted and was happy when Wallace was appointed. Today just showed me how far off the mark I was. Wallace reckons Spud left a train wreck, well I reckon Spud was a genius compared to Plough and the mess he left.

One home truth he could tell is that he is not a coach's *smile*.

FFS, it's laughable that this hack is still in the running. Hopefully it's just a smokescreen due to the fact he's still in the caretaker chair. If he is the next RFC coach the club may as well shut the doors. The last 3 weeks under this dud has been as bad as anyhting in the Wallace & Frawley eras.

Spud left dud players that couldn't play

Wallace left good players that don't wanna play

Yeah, just like the extensive process that we undertook to find the new Football Operations Manager :cutelaugh

Yep, just as bad.

Dropping a truck load of crap at the RFC would be a compliment.

I feel sorry for Jade. A successful stint may have helped him get a senior job (not necessarily at Richmond). Displays which we witnessed today, have irreparably damaged his senior prospects. Another coaching career destroyed.

We need to distance ourselves from the Wallace era. All those associated must go. New coach, new football department. Time is now to start from the ground up. Yes its going to be a long long long and hard road ahead but its the only way.

Appointing Rawlings would be a huge mistake and we might as well shut the lights, locks the doors, shut the gate and let Punt Road Oval rest in peace.

I agree with this reasoning for turning down Rawlings. His caretaker role is irrelevant, it is about the future of the club and cutting ties with the previous poisened era.

I never really understood the 'feral' concept, but seeing all the posts supporting Jade after a couple of wins and all the posts attacking Jade after a couple of losses, I understand it now.

Mark Stevens on The 5th Quarter just said that the word is Hinkley is our preferred candidate.

Yeap.

Said Harwick will be offered Roos job and we wont care because his mail is we want Hinkley.

Should know in 10 days.

Gale mentioned today that the timeframe for announcing is 'to be determined'. He said that teams playing finals will have an impact on the announcement. Given that Hawks and Bummers are unlikely to play finals but Cats are, does this indicate that Hinkley is, indeed, the man?
