The Official "RFC Coaching Position" Discussion Thread

Is Hinkley a Pr!ck?

Because if he isn't we are wasting our time.

Hardwick was a real a..hole as a player who never shirked an issue.

If that is what he is like as a coach, he is what we need.

Hinkley hey? He has been there all along but no one really bothered to talk about him. All of the focus was mainly on Rawlings, Hardwick to an extent Richardson.

Hinkley could be a similar appointment to what Lyon was at St. Kilda.

I would like Hinkley. He has had nothing remotely to do with the loser entity that has been the RFC over the past 27 years. That is a great start.

It's funny. Hinkley was the name thrown around as early as last year.

Certainly wouldn't surprise me to see if he got the job. Premiership AFL assistant, coached his own side at lower levels to a flag (x2 ?) also not much publicity around him. Given his lack of fanfare in the media, he could very well be a "surprise" Lyon type selection.

As a Collingwood assistant coach, he saw the garbage team right in front of his eyes.

Uh sorry TF, I misread your original post. I thought you were referring to his presser after the game and that it gave US a clear view as to why he shouldn't coach us.

Doh! :p

He must have breathed a huge sigh of relief after the game. Next week gives Hardwick a chance to see us live (unless he gets the job at North before).

Well, at least the new coach can see the realism in what we are and not live on hype with us winning meaningless games as we did last season.

Agree. Hardwick is still my first preference but it's likely he'll go to North by the sound of it. Hinkley is sounding better though.

Best news Ive heard in a long time,if the process is true then he should be our next coach.

Did anyone hear that flog Nathan Thompson pump up Rawlings for the RFC job on SEN Friday arvo with Luke Darcy? Reckons he's done a fantastic job!! Yeah, he's a real gun Thommo. Wouldn't be one of your mates from the Hawthorn days would he? What a spanner.

Just seen the 5th quarter. Gee, has Scott packed on the pounds. Where's his chin gone too?

Hawks were as good as us in 2001 but Rawlings, Hay and Thompson were still the up and coming duds.

Agree Ridley. Thommo is a massive tool. Never has any time for the RFC on the Sunday Footy Show.
