The Official "RFC Coaching Position" Discussion Thread

I know I'm biased, but FFS why would anyone want to coach a team with no money, no supporters, no future?

Ha, I've been saying exactly the same thing every day since the North/Richmond processes started.

Actually, that's being kind. I don't think for a second North have a process and I very much suspect this is going to be a bullet in the neck for Brayshaw and his board.

Ah well maybe one of his missing white knights will come to his rescue. ::)

I thought Knighter said he intended to see out his contract at EFC

I'm happy enough with the process but frustrated with how long it takes to get each interview organised. FFS Rawlings has just done the one brief interview so far. He could do his final one during his lunchbreak.

If Hardwick was interviewed Monday night why couldn't Hinkley have done his on Tuesday? Or Wednesday? Or Thursday?

Interviews are taking 3 hours at a time. Thats half a day lost effectively, so scheduling with teams still playing and finals to prepare for would be difficult.

For the Kangas, if you agree to make James Brayshaw your friend on Facebook, you have passed the interview and will be offered the job. So far even Jame's mum has knocked him back

Brayshaw has one last ace up his sleeve that could potentially save *cough* DOOM *cough* his club...

He can reach out for the bat phone and call....

For coach?? :rofl

Love the way the journo's are setting timetables and ultimatums over the prospective coaching positions.
If Hardwick jumps in the cot with the Kangas because he got excited when they flashed their knickers at him .................good luck to him.
They offered Figgy a truckload of money as well as flashing to jump in with them and he couldn't run away fast enough.
I'm more than happy for the club to work it's way through the interview process and ensure every potential coach works equally to earn the position.
Would not be surprised to see Hinkley get the job even if Hardwick stays right through the process.
Have never heard anyone say anything bad about his footy nous or man management skill. He's been an assistant to Blighty and he's also coached a country team in his own right and taken it to a premiership.
Was listening to K.B. and Balmey waffling on this morning, K.B. mentioned that Nigel Lappin who worked at the Cats with Hinkley said that Hinkley has the sharpest footy mind of anyone he knows.

The only think with Hinkley is if he wants to stay at Geelong as Thompson's successor. There's been rumours that Costa has been in his ear already.

Well, Hardwick is not going to Port http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/82730/default.aspx

When Buckley was talked about the concern was that he was only going to be around until the Collingwood position was available. If they are already talking about a succession plan at Port is there a danger that the same would apply to Hardwick that he would coach whichever team only until the Port position was available.
