Jade's has been outstanding, however I don't think for one second he has been truly tested. There are a few aspects we get a better idea of him on, however there is pros and cons to even that.

Outstanding? Please enlighten me. Maybe I've been living under a rock, and attending the wrong games, but I haven't seen anything to suggest a) Jade is our best choice, and, moreover, b) that Jade has been outstanding!

Well I never said a) that Jade is our best choice. I'm actually saying the opposite. He is just another candidate.

I've also posted plenty on here in the last couple of weeks of my dissapointment in people getting swept up with Jade or our wins, so with you there.

However it all comes down to how you see a caretaker's role.

I see it as rebuilding team morale, getting the sense of team back together and working for one another and getting the players to enjoy their footy again while we take a look at the kids and who can take our team on for the new coaching regime.

In that Jade has done a great job.

People viewing Jades caretaking role as one would a true senior coach is wrong in my opinion.

I think you will find Aker will play next year. As far as Aker as a assistant coach, nost sure how I feel about that. I agree with you he is a sharp footy brain, however he is also very much his own man and I think in retirement he would only step up media appointments and I don't know how others feel but I am done with coaching staff in media roles.

We needed it with Wallace initially but no more now please.
Fair call. I do however hope that the club does appoint a recently retired player as part of their coaching staff. I know Kane is one but I think we need someone who has come from another club who can give us another view on how things are done outside of the current RFC environment. Adam Simpson is one who springs to mind.

Just thought this may be worth nothing.

We have had the first round of interviews, and:

1) no list of candidates has leaked (closest was Hutchy from seeing who attended the sessions)

2) no feedback on how the candidates went has leaked

3) no indication of who is likely to be going to the next round has leaked

Given the place was leaking like a sieve at the start of the season, I'm wondering if this means our leak has been dealt with :hihi

Geezus...lighten up Harry, anyone would think listening to you that we had no talent on our list what so ever.
We have a good crop of young kids coming through, that will improve TOGETHER - as a team. No more fat-head seniority issues / cliques (which was a real issue) and we will pick up more goods kids in this years draft (1 x top 10) as well as cutting away more dead wood.
I'm assuming you're attending most games?
If so you can't deny there has been a helluva lot ipmrovement within the team - Vickery, Post, Morton, Cotchin, Nahas, McGuane, Rance etc...all young blokes - give them time.
No one is expecting some miracle transformation - then again, maybe some are?
Imagine if we did go so low (not win the games we have) and managed to get 'our saviour' Scully?
God forbid if he didn't pull the rest of the list up the ladder - how absurd when you think about it.
No guarantees with any kid - none.

Mate, you're like a Bulldog chewing on a wasp.

you again ?

I'm not saying scully's gonna be our saviour - we need at least 15-20 quality kids over the next 3-4 years, which is why we had to tank for the priority. 3 top 20 picks this November would have been a good start.

So, what you're suggesting is that for the next 3-4 years we don't want to see any improvement, don't want to win any more than 4 games per year...beacause that will enable us to set up for success????
Thats a bit Oxymoronic don't ya' think?

Yeah, that's great Harry.
I can't see Jack, Cotch, Lids, Nahas, Posty, Big Vick minding too much - I'm sure that can all go through the motions for a few more years...

AND by the way, that's MR you, to you.

Point taken DD. However, I'm yet to see anything that any other caretaker would not have achieved given the depths of ineptitude we sunk under that sh!t talker Wallace. I just hope we don't fall for the incumbent when IMO there are much better qualified candidates.

I think it was September, with the forecast it could be as early as late August. I read into that it was based on who gets the job. As in who is part of finals or not or whether they are given a release from their club ala Clarkson or stay to the end like...?)

sorry ive been away with personal issues but since the first round of interviews have finished there is a bit to take in

Rawlings is fav for the gig in terms of hes results and ability to communicate however the club has fears he is unable to compete tactically with the top guys is unable to quickly adapt to momontem swings.

richerdson impressed with his experience in coaching a flag and his communication skills is almost the whole package

there is strengths and weekness in every applicant am willing to share at this point i would have rawlings as fav with the darkie being cameron however i want hinkley club was upset with twigs peformence on sunday

I've got $100 riding on Cameron Scooty, pump him up! ;D

What's the word on Leon? You mention Richardson impressive but Leon the darkie in your opinion? Leon must have made a good impression?

Twig is rawlings

Cameron was extremly impressive he has the tactical nous the ability to communicate however he has not been apart of a flag and has only been a coach at one club however they belive his organisational skills development skills and the fact he has done an apprenichip under the tactical genisis of rocket benifit him plus his understanding of the tigers history and his desire to see success is what impresses them
