The March to the finals- 2015.

At their best nth could get over both. But I hope they peaked last year. On current form they lose those two!

Then FFS, I hope we roll em, and leave em 9th.

How do North lose to Dogs?

Dogs are beating up weaklings. North actually beat the big boys from time to time.

Hope Freo nut them though. Is that next week?

I reckon the dogs go in favorites. They have their tails up. Are quick n defence is solid. They do as you like n play the Kids and kick big scores.

Nth have a rep for been as flakey as us.

Have lost to...

port
Cats
Pies
GCS

Only beaten WC in hobart
and us above em.

But at their best could easily pants the dogs no doubt.

I hope Freo weren't tanking. They are a chance to lose to North - they were saying a few players (Pav, some others I forget) were very sore after their last Etihad game.

I really really hope they beat North though, obviously.

Real tests over the next few weeks for North and the Dogs. Reckon we'll actually know how good these 2 teams are over the next few weeks.

If we beat Collingwood and Essendon we mathematically qualify for the finals

Slightly off-topic, but could that make 2015 the first H&A season we have beaten Carlton, Collingwood and Essendon twice?

If not, it might have to have been before I was born, maybe in those war years when only a handful of teams played.

Over to you L2R2R.

IMO, the Dogs are an illusion.

Here's a brief analysis of their season I posted elsewhere last week:

"Was just curious as to how the Bulldogs have ended up where they are right now. Here's how:

Round 1 - Defeated WC by 10 points (early days, anything can happen in these rounds)
Round 2 - Defeated Richmond by 19 points (as above)
Round 3 - Lost to Hawthorn by 70 points
Round 4 - Defeated Adelaide by 57 points (good win, I'll give em that one)
Round 5 - Defeated Sydney by 4 points (another good one)

Fairly impressive up to that point, it must be said (Hawthorn loss aside). But look at their draw past round 5:

Round 6 - Lost to St Kilda by 7 points
Round 7 - Lost to Fremantle by 13 points
Round 8 - Lost to Melbourne by 38 points
Round 9 - Defeated GWS by 45 points
Round 10 - Lost to Port by 38 points
Round 11 - Bye
Round 12 - Defeated Brisbane by 72 points
Round 13 - Defeated St Kilda by 6 points
Round 14 - Defeated Carlton by 11 points
Round 15 - Defeated Gold Coast by 22 points
Round 16 - Lost to Geelong by 8 points
Round 17 - Defeated Collingwood by 18 points
Round 18 - Defeated Essendon by 87 points
Round 19 - Defeated Port by 64 points

The only half decent sides they've played in that stretch are Geelong and Fremantle, and they've lost to both. And in the remaining 4 rounds they still have Melbourne and Brisbane to play. If that is not the softest draw this game has ever seen, I'm the ******* Queen of England.

Pretenders."

Just did the ladder predictor - it's amazing.

Win all 3 remaining games and I have us finishing 4th.

Win 2 and drop 1 and we finish 6th

Drop 2 and we miss the 8

Such a close season

It is a dream run, isn't it? They haven't played a team that is currently in the top 8 on the ladder since round 7. Can't get much softer than that.

The Doggies are this years Port. I expect the Doggies to miss the finals next year.

But Port have more pumpkins

You've got the Swans losing this week against GWS then?

If the Swans win this week then our top 4 chances are virtually gone. They won't drop a game to Saints or GC surely.

Yep - had GWS beating Swans. This was based on gut feel more than anything but didn't think the swans were that impressive the other night v the scum. But, agree, if swans win, top 4 will be a no goer for us.
