The Geelong Cants

Geez it's infuriating. You can 110% guarantee that any other side in the AFL would be getting the ruler run over them after a 35 point turnaround in a Prelim. But not Geelong. Instead, it's any amount of excuses and being "brave" and "gee wasn't it a great game" all in an attempt to deflect from any critical analysis of Geelong and Scott.

That Brisbane side had been pretty average for a lot of the year. They had multiple missing players with injuries, were on the road and lost their ruckman during the game. Geelong had next to zero injuries and were, during the week, the favourites. Then they bottle up a 35 point turnaround. Dangerfield and Duncan make critical errors. The Geelong backline gets overrun in the second half by the Brisbane smalls. Rhys Stanley. And so on....

But nobody wants to talk about any of that. It's all "Geelong so brave" and excuses. Whateley, Dwayne Russell, Josh Barnes, Selwood, Ling, Bartel, that salty ahole Josh Jenkins....there's just too many of them in the media controlling the narrative where Geelong is concerned.

That was a game Geelong should have put away. But didn't. And none of them want to dissect it like they would with anyone else.

Geez I hate the corrupted AFL media and Geelong. When we rise again, the one club I want us to crush the most is Geelong.
1st goal in the 3rd to go 25pts up, by 3/4 time they were behind....
The media narrative on Scott & Geelong is quiet something for a side that has played in 10 Prelims under him & only won 3 of them. that record needs far more attention than it gets.

A
:ROFLMAO: When you need a laugh. Too many wet Pussy fans.....

All that fake Geelong outrage is based on their collective guilty conscience

Deep down they know that two absolute dog acts by their favourite sons Stewart and Floggerfield potentially caused potentially career ending injuries to Dion and Vlassy
The latter might easily have seen them win that GF too

And instead of owning up to it - they fob it off with a sideways argument about us being “consumed by rage”

They grow more pathetic season by season

Complaining about why Tigers supporters revelling in their misery and why we think about them so much……..while spending his time compiling snippets from Tigers supporters

Get a life!!!! :))
Why are the Geelong fans in misery? According to Elder Statesman Salty and his minions in the media they had a fantastic season and he is very proud.
As for Hamish 27 all I see is the pot calling the kettle black.

Only thing better than watching them lose a Prelim, watching them lose a Grannie.

Geelong losing a final after building a good lead is just more of the same, 22 was an outlier. They play possession which works for a while, then the pressure and desire from the opposition comes and it falls apart.

They didn't play like that in the Port win. They played more like us. It worked so they stuck at it, if it hadn't, if Stengle and Cameron hadn't kicked some very difficult classy goals early which made Port go to water, they would have reverted to type.

Scott's finals record is 14 - 16. I just read that dangerfield, Duncan, Stanley are all going on next year. When the cliff appears, it will be a looonnnngggg way down and very dark down there for a long time...

Kingsight. He is such a fraud at times. Flip flops most weeks.
Early in the year it is Beveridge cant coach this group any further, is in trouble. 3 weeks ago Bevo is a genius, Always been a great coach Dogs can go all the way.
He changes his mind every week. If you followed his tips you would go broke. He has access to every stat and analytical tool but provides no insight. Just after the game reasons why someone won, often presented in an 'I told you so' manner.
There’s a clip of him going around where on May 26 this year he says the Lions should look at dumping Fagan and getting Chris Scott as coach.

Those guys stopped in the last qtr and cost them the game. They were cooked. I’m glad they are going on next year. They will only last a half.

Unfortunately they won’t fall a cliff as many would of us would like. Their youth is better than their older stalwarts. They will also likely pick the eyes out of this years draft too.

Possibly but they aren't going to have 15 and 35 if they are trading for Smith.

Cats clearing out a bit of deadwood:

“The 33-year-old Rohan played six seasons in Geelong colours after arriving from the Swans, while Parfitt was drafted by the Cats in 2016.

Phoenix Foster, Oscar Murdoch, James Willis and Mitch Hardie have also been delisted having not played an AFL game.

Former Hawthorn tall Emerson Jeka has also been axed.”

Wasn't Parfitt the player taken with the pick we gave them for Caddy?? If so worked well in our favour

Who was the draft guru who selected them? 4 picks for zero games. Surely that bloke gets the arse.
Are they no good or didn’t Salty go much on them?
