The Finals thread

Reiwoldts form this year hasn't been due to injury its been due to the changes in the game the last couple of years which have made it much harder for forwards like him.

Others seem to have coped fine. This is why I question his champion status. The champions are able to change with the game, afterall many of them play for 12-15 years, they don't have a choice. Maybe I am under-estimating his injuries over the last few seasons but I just don't class him up with other champions in terms of skill level, output, and ability to win matches off his own boot.

So where does St Nick stand amongst other CHF,s of the past?
1/-Carey
2/-Hart
3/-Brown
4/-Dermie
5th-??
6th-??
Etc

Centerfold of playgirl magazine....................... mind the staples though, they can give your fingers a bit of a prick.

I cant believe the negative posts towards Nick Riewoldt. I think people are judging him on what he has done this and not what he has done for the past 10 years.

He wore his oppenents into the ground with his constant movement between forward 50 and the centre and then quick burst runs deep into the forward 50.

If he played for Richmond, we would be raving about the guy.

Funny how the color of a players jumper influences people's opinions.

The man has been a star.

I love how the Blues would have been in a better position if they'd finished 7th rather than 5th. :clap

They would have taken care of the Saints last night, got to stay in Melbourne, and then face the wounded Hawks next week.

Instead by finishing 5th they now have to take on one of their main rivals who have got nothing to lose and then travel to Perth next week to take on the in-form Weagles.

I'm going to have to wash my hands after this post but here goes..

Go Bummers!

There were many mixed feeling about Richo at a similar stage in his career, it was only after he had the late career resurgence that he came to be loved by all but the most bitter.

I think their is an interesting debate with Saint Nick whether he is in the Chris Grant league (one of the best of his generation) or Wayne Carey league (one of the best of all time). I reckon he's in-between, but I think his goal kicking does perhaps tip the balance towards the Grant league.

Let's all hope these 2 teams bash each other into submission.

Don't really care who wins.

Both evil teams.

Hmmmm,on 2nd thoughts,I do prefer Carlton to win because if Essendon win, that team ,will grow that famous Essendon swagger.

Ego's bigger than Everest by the supporters.

Just knock em out Carlton hehe.

West Coast can deal with you later.

P.S. this time next year ,we will be packing out the Cricketers/Tavern/Royal/Corner/Social club and many other fine Richmond establishments pregame I hope.

West Coast would flog them next week. Let them get ahead of themselves. Im confident we can beat them next year anyway. LOLing at a Carlton 3-peat will make my afternoon.

Now that's tempting. :hihi

Not to mention when reality hit Essendon last year after making finals year before. They all stopped going and got the coach sacked.

Could handle that next year when they miss again. :hihi

Baker, Gardiner, Eddy and McQualter have all announced their retirements.

It was actually Lyon who announced their retirements.

On the ABC grandstand this morning it was reported that McQualter and Eddy tweeted their supporters that they had NOT retired.

Could be more problems down at Moorabbin or wherever they train these days.

Edit: Sorry didn't see post 236 from IanG before I posted this.

Agree.

Just typical one-eyed rubbish which isnt a surprise. The guy is a 5 time B&F winner in a top 4 side all these years. Has had a pretty bad year but the guy is one of the best imo.
