He Was on his way to GWS last summer but Adelaide kept him.
He is the type Collingwood go after.
 
I wonder if there a some decent mids not getting a game somewhere because they are playing with a club with a good midfield that we could target?

Some of those types can be good value pick ups for rebuilding teams.

I am not talking about discards. Look at sharp at Freo this year as an example, Hollands at Carlton,

Wanted to go to GWS last season, probs gets there now.
Reckon Swans will have a decent crack. A good full back will suit them, especially with Mccartin getting another concussion

Thats a solid chunk out.
Broad stays for 2 more years.
Reckon Lynch is hungry and wants to play footy before he retires. Two short seasons might keep him fresh for two more, so he plays in 25 and 26.

Nank you didnt mention.

We still need a core of experience.
Backline with Flossy, Broady and Rioli.
Mid Taranto Hopps.
Forward Lynch, maybe Dusty. And peak stars Balta Bolton.
Then we hope Baker stays.
Its not much but its an elite, high standards core.
We want these fellas tp be leading the training.

I dont think we want a Blair special.
As you posted we want elite young talent

A couple of names playing in their club’s respective seconds: Xavier O’Halloran, Nathan Driscoll and Deven Robertson.

I know I've mentioned Will Philips a few times, he hasn't shown much in the 1's this year but a former Pick 3, surely thats environment rather than a complete lack of ability. Alex Davies at the Suns, played this weekend, 10 tackles. I think he's more your defensive midfielder but thats exactly the type we need, not sure of his pace though (which we need). There are others, like Devon Robertson, but I think we either need someone with pace or intense defensive accountability, I think Robertson is more your all rounder thats maybe a B- mid. With Taranto and Hopper fit, McAuliffe and hopefully a couple of draftees, I think we need that more role player through the mid so it might be more of a specific recruitment.

No mention of Nank td as he’s just signed on and been Captain and our lack of genuine Rucks he won’t be going anywhere

Davies is a good shout. Phillips no. I doubt we could get O'Halloran, he's been a regular over the last two seasons.
 
Also we should be having a chat to Humphrey at the Gold Coast suns. Struggling for opportunity with all their talent.

It was only 7 weeks ago that Hardwick likened Humphrey to Dusty .

Trying to pump up his trade value for later on this year.

We don't need b and c+ Midfielders we need a graders.

Ivan Maric, Bachar Houli, Shaun Grigg. That started our turnaround, building the middle tier. Then drafting quality that blossoms around the same time that middle tier is 25, 26, 27.

Lachie Sullivan, Joe Richards. Mature agers that protect your kids for 60 games. Scour the VFL. Criminal Gold Coast got Closhey, looks every bit a 150 gamer. We can find them too.

Draft good kids, obviously.

Three step rebuild. All happening at the same time. Overly simple but thats your blueprint.

We need to find players like Arces busts a gut every week and only costs Carlton 350k.
We need 22-25 yr olds desperate/hungry to play AFL.
We are the best at rookie selections because we select them on purs talent not on numbers and if they come from a good family.

Yep, kills me watching Durham at Essendon too. Tough as nails and gets better every week. Genuine competitor. They’re out there!

There always is if willing to part with a r2 , we also have leverage of psd, I’d like to think we bring in 1-2 to improve our experience and talent base
