Team v Brisbane.

Its just dawned on me why Mansell doesn't get protection for his head. The umps are deciding that because he's from Tasmania, they don't need to protect his head as he has a replacement.

good theory. I cant ever recall JR or Nank getting a free for high contact?

Richo certainly never got one

Dimma said Edwards was unlikely so hopefully only misses 1 game. They are 1 key defender now, we can try a CCJ/Chol inclusion to try and stretch them down back otherwise no change.

Agreed they might be gettable, but the Tigers need to play the same brand of attack as we did against the Doggies in the second half.

We cant be missing Tommy Lynch Soda's shots at goal this week we will get our arses handed to us if we don't bring the heat and convert at a better rate.

If the Tigers leave the Gabba with the 4 points this week regardless of how we obtain them, there will be a shudder up the spines of all those above us on the ladder, as it could very well be a season changing result for all and sundry.

If and its a big If, we can beat the Bears and then turnover the Crows and Drugs and go in to the bye 8 - 4 with players returning everyone will hear the Tiggie Train coming on down the tracks again gaining.up a head of steam.

It would also give us a free hit at the Coasters first up after the bye at Optus in a Finals type cauldron.

The Lions lose 2 mainstay defenders to injury & are missing Neale, Berry & Rayner from the midfield.
They're definitely beatable.

Geez if we do beat them I can already hear the media talking about how brave they were and how many injuries they have etc. We are missing our whole midfield so if we do beat them it will be a monumental win. Still, if any team can do the monumental it's this team.

Definitely but their forward line is pretty good. Three talls complementing each other, McCarthy who can take a mark but also good on the ground and Charlie. Tough ask for the defenders if they get any sort of supply.

Also need to stop Fatty Rich off the back half who provides a lot of forward thrust.

Play a defensive forward on him.

We need to give Brisbane a receipt for last year’s final.

Their win over us was like our first win over Geelong in that final. We’ve dominated them ever since.

There’ll be a battle of the wills between Brisbane’s young core and our senior leaders - but if our young players bring the fight, it’ll go a long way to nibbling away at their confidence.

Bolton might just be an outside chance. Injury was to his scaphoid and had a playing guard made yesterday.

Don't reckon there will be any changes.

On their forwards I'd go:

Astbury - McStay
Balta - Daniher
Broad - Hipwood
Grimes - Cameron
Mansell - McCarthy
Short / Houli - Can take Coleman

I'm interested what they do with Vlastuin, Reckon we are playing 1 too many defenders but he looked good as a defensive midfielder who floats back and protects the backline.

They're definitely beatable.

The way we rolled Footscray and GWS while depleted, everyone is beatable by RFC no matter how strong their squad is.

I am thinking no change.

But we should expect 4 players back next week. I am thinking Cotchin, Prestia, Bolton and Edwards.

if we can win this game, with the troops arriving over the hill, it'll be massive.

Plays the sweeper type role who can intercept.
