Funny how people are finally giving Daniel Wells credit for having a quality consistent season and he's now turned 25
Put that down to him being out of contract

Re: Tambling [Merged]

Watched on TV....other than the goal and him being taken off in the last quarter, hardly sighted him.

So is Tambling, however Wells was injured last year and took the year to get his body right
Tambling had pretty major surgury on his calves this year and is still recovering

Re: Tambling [Merged]

tamblings role is to run around, observe and give hardwick his player ratings for the day. don't underestimate his importance to the team.

Would've enjoyed today's game as he loves watching Buddy play.

I found it interesting that when Buddy kicked that long goal, Tambling kicked a very classy reply goal 30 seconds later.

It's interesting because he was as composed as I've ever seen him kicking at goal.

Normally I'd have expected Tambling to be less steady than usual, not just against Hawthorn, but straight after a Buddy goal.

That's a positive from his game (I knew I'd find one!)!

Yeah that was a nice goal. Interesting way to look at it, Tambling was certainly pumped after kicking it.

Im wondering if he was Krakouer, put into a witness protection program, given a new identity, and come back as Tambling. Eery similarities, only difference being Krakouer had some skill around the goals.

I don't think he is as good!

I still think Richmond should of picked Franklin..

Maybe so Bees but Buddy is not the same player as in 2008 that's for certain.
Like the Hawks he's looking more like a one year wonder with every passing game.

Re: Tambling [Merged]

Cheers. Seems that's his 3rd choice spot at best to me after the roaming flanker and half back roles he's done well in. Wonder why Beavis is persisting with him in this role.

Re: Tambling [Merged]

Probably to make the bastard chase opposition players.

Tambling has no intensity is a coaster, who plays a good burst or does a good thing or two then goes back to coasting.

I happily trade him at this stage if the price was right for a real list need.

Re: Tambling [Merged]

Given the volume of negative sentiment re Tambling and the chorus to drop him I'm actually surprised he hasn't been dropped TBH. Since Hardman has become coach sentiment on PRE has been a pretty good guide to who comes and goes. What exactly does Hardwick like about his game? Is he playing a specific role? Is he playing through injury?

Look I'm fond of Ritchie T and he always does a few special things each game which impress and which others simply can't do but hasn't got enough of the ball so far this year to justify his spot IMO. I wonder what is going on?

Agree, Franklin isn't as good as he was & not sure if he will reach those heights again.

In the long run though I believe RT will be the better player. When? is the big Q.
