Tambling (merged)

Re: Tambling [Merged]

It is time to forget about what Draft Pick Tambling was taken at - if he doesn't shape up drop him like anyone else.
He fumbles under presssure and butchers the ball - he isn't our worst offender but he needs to be sent a message and that is that he isn't a walk up start.

I would drop him and Matt White.
Tuck is another one who panics under pressure which is surprising because he is a hard nut - I don't think he is scared of the contest just can't thick fast enough.

I thought McGuane, Moore and Thursfield all panicked a bit tonight in defence.

Re: Tambling [Merged]

he has lost all acceleration, mobility and spark. to make things even worse he isn't taking any risks for whatever reason.

still looks like hes trying and the intent is there. he is either horribly inured or horribly out of form. i think its a bit of both

The recovery from the surgury he had can take almost a year before running without pain/discomfort

Re: Tambling [Merged]

Why're we always defending this bloke, injury or no injury he has been aboustly disgraceful this year. Time to go back to coburg for at 3 weeks.
and when he returns theres no improvement, *smile* him off. lets move on and replace him with someone who will chase and tackle.
looks so lazy!

Re: Tambling [Merged]

he has played 101 games of nothing, he should at least be a good consistant footballer by now but is anything but that, this bloke cannot go any further at this club .

I totally disagree with this comment. Tambling gave us 6 good (but not great) games last year. But I agree, over101 games that is a disgraceful return about 6%. I think I also agree with an earlier post- I would prefer to see the Hack King return in his place, at least he tries.

Tamblin needs to go try and get form but not in the ones. Tambling has ridden the free train for years now getting games where based on performance he shouldn't have. All that does is set the bench mark in the players head about what the standards are to pull the gournsey on for Richmond. Ever noticed how at better clubs players step back if injured for the benefit of the team....... Tambling doesn't know how to do that. Surely injured or not he currently knows he isn't playing at AFL or even VFL level, doesn't he?

That turnover he caused in the last quarter which cost us a goal was deplorable.

Yep whilst harsh to pick on one aspect in a game where plenty of players made costly errors, that passage summed up his lack of confidence in taking the game on. He is giving us nothing at the moment

Re: Tambling [Merged]

He looks slow.

Tambling isn't normally slow.

Something abnormal is slowing him down!

Simple :hihi

I would drop him back purely because we know from his history that he can not withstand a lot of critisism without it affecting his form. He is injured, no doubt, the thing that worries me is if playing him while injured will dent his confidence too much. You just have to put up with it, if Deledio lost his pace then a similar thing would happen too, although maybe not as bad. We know he can play, so it's worth waiting for the injury to clear up.

Re: Tambling [Merged]

Back to Coburg until he can dominate there. His efforts are insipid and he looks totally devoid of confidence as was shown by that horrible attempted kick of the ground in the 3rd when he completely missed it. A player with some confidence would have picked it up.

Right now, he is worthless in a trade. Either we persevere with him or delist at the end of current contract.

Yep for whatever reasons, the fact is he is struggling big time. His footballing future is under cloud atm.

He's the laziest player on our list!

Has been for a very long time unfortunetely.

Just isn't willing to work hard enough is Richard. Very dissapointing. To see a guy like Nason not be out of the game for four quarters because his workrate is high all game, then look at Richard, it really makes my blood boil. I don't think it will ever click with Richard with us.

Re: Tambling [Merged]

dud delist

promote someone that looks at least like they care

he embarasses himself and our club

Speed is one of Tabling's best assets. If he has lost that he really does need to find it back via the 2s. We have plenty of younger players his size who can gainf romt he experience whilst he's tryingo get his fitness and form back.

What would we get for him?
Trade him only for a need that we lack in.Don,t try and trade for picks as we,ll get little value.
We need a Ruckman foremost.
Essendon-Need a runner.Tambling for Bellchambers.
Stkilda-Went after Lovett for a reason.Tambling for McEvoy.Doubt they would agree but then again they have Patto :p ;D
Carlton-Go for either Hampson or Jacobs.
Sydney-For Currie plus a draft pick
