P.S. I'm loving the nicknames tonight, you're on fire.

so what is this weeks excuse for RT , sooner or later the penny has to drop , this guy is crap , some of his decisions are mind blowing , his disposal is junior league standard . and weight there's more , we actually extend his contract by 3 years , boy if that how we do thing at the RFC maybe we give walletts another 5 years , that way we can continue to watch this suburban crap

i watched ritchie real close today. i really feel for this kid. he is probably the most maligned player in the comp, seriously. its unfortunate for him because while every mistake or clanger is scrutinised heavily rarely is his good work applauded. there is unfair expectation. in reality he is a better than average 21 yo midfielder and he is developing nicely. his productivity and workrate is near where it should be but sometimes his skills let him down a bit. his skills arepoor when he is forced to kick under pressue, otherwise its ok. bling is trying to do a little too much right now. he is taking them on when sometimes first option may be better. but he is putting his head over the ball, being in the right place more often then not. his defensive skills are still not up to scratch though.

he had a career defining moment in the third quarter when he kicked that long goal. he was expected to and got the job done. i hate to think what happens to his confidence and regard in the football world if if he misses because we were up to our nuts in that game at the time. he had another servicable second half which is becoming par for the course.

not a bad effort

Who was our worst Chook?

Take your pick. Thought Polak first half was as bad as anyone's. That is when the heat was on so I only judge people on the first half.

Anyway Tambling. Yep definitely trying harder but still too many stupid mistakes. I have to be honest when he fell over his own feet running through the middle, for the first time I had massive long term doubts. Still today I saw things I haven't seen before, held onto the ball when he knew Travis Cloke was coming at him and he knew that he had to hold onto the ball to allow the guy he was handballing to needed the time.

Is it just me or does Tambling put himself in spots to receive handballs that leave him with no where to go? No one gets more hospital hand passes then Tambling.

Yeah i think he will be ok. Some of the senior players should look at his effort and be ashamed

He didn't fall over his own feet he slipped cause there was a muddy patch there, a couple of players did the same thing

Well said, WhatsisameandBling.

What about when he slipped over for no reason. Turnover goal

What about when Sanchez the illegal mexican immigrant missed a teamete with a 20 meter pass inside the centre square. Turnover goal

Joke

I think Bling gets compared to the davies, davis, betts etc types of the comp. But in reality he isnt that type of player. Those guys are fwd specialists. They play as a pocket - roll up on the ball - type role. They are exciting players...but they are flashy. They come and go and they go missing often. Tambling is building as a pure midfielder. Rare to see from a young indigenous player. He is building in the Shaun Burgoyne type mould. I think as a 21 yr old an 18 possy 1 goal game is acceptable. We havent seen his peak and i feel we wont see it for another year or 2. Indigenous midfielders take a while to come good. Ill be patient for now.

1. Heaps of players slipped over in that part of the ground, hardly think that he could have done anything to prevent slipping.

2. This isn't the Jordan McMahon thread.

3. Deleted - Personal abuse is unnaceptable.

Fair enough appraisal, you should revert to your old name as support.

Also well said. He and I guess Daniel Wells is the better comparison.

I really feel for him. I think hes trying too hard atm if that makes sense. But he'll be fine.

If I was to rate Tambling's game out of 10, then he'll be receiving 4. Apart from the goal he kicked, whippeee, he got smashed in the middle in the first half. Was rotated on & off the bench a fair bit and sat on it a fair chunk in the second term.

I would assume he's had instruction from our champion coach to run with the ball when he's got the opportunity and that's OK, but in the close encounters he does too much with it. He gets caught way too often in the middle, I would suggest he offloads the ball immediately to his team mate and not hatch the bloody thing and get caught.

His workrate around the ground has a long way to go. I think the only reason he is in Richmond side is because of his Pick 4 status in the draft or otherwise he'll be at Coburg. I reckon Shane Edwards would be able to play his role much better.
