just got some mail from inside the club that he is ready to burn

I am looking forward to seeing Bling reinstated to his rightful place at the end of Lidsand's name (and the man himself in all the best players lists).

his removal from my name has been good for his career

Cheers Shers. He'll tear them apart if he plays. They might as well set up two statisticians just for Blinga on Friday night.

I am intrested to know as to why two statisticians GPB , is one to count the effective disposals and one to count all the "c l a n g e r s"

I wasn't aware Tambling had many clangers Hamster.
His error count is actually quite low.

Tambling's error count is low , compared to what ???? are you comparing his error tally to other RFC players , the team average per game , the total turnovers !!!!!!

It's actually quite low when compared to plenty of players in the AFL.
Bling's a pretty skilful player Rocky Boy, surprised you hadn't noticed. ;)

I wouldn't say lack of skill has been Bling's problem to date.

2007 stats:

Tambling - 15% (number of errors from total disposals), 43% (number of long kicks from total kicks), 17 goals, 9 behinds.

Bartel - 11%, 37%, 18, 8

Kerr - 12%, 31%, 8, 11

Chapman - 16%, 43%, 30, 15

Hodge - 18%, 39%, 23, 14

Buddy - 44%, 57%, 73, 61

Aside from Buddy, every one of the above (apart from Tambling obviously) had a higher error to disposal rate than Tambling did in their 20 year old season.

The problem with making statements based on biased perceptions is that you just look silly when faced with quantifiable facts.

you mean aside from Kerr and BArtel?

Actually when you consider that he has a high long kick % his error rates are excellent.

Disco do you have the full error% and long kick% for all Richmond players?

Of course not. The point is that 15% errors to disposals is more towards the good end of the scale than the bad (especially as Col said when you take into account long kick %) and is comparable to the best players in the competition.

Sure, any in particular? I'm to tired to do the whole team. :)

No worries.

Sir Les - 23%, 31%, 4, 4

Lace Out Luke - 26%, 38%, 0, 0

Raines - 15%, 34%, 0, 2

Sanchez - 16%, 33%, 1, 0

Statistically overall, Raines isn't as bad as you'd think.
Amazing how a few key turnovers at crucial times can distort ones perceptions.

McMahon is not exceptional by any stretch but he did have a poorish year.
Without pushing it have you got his 05/06 figures as a comparison Disco?

05 - 8%, 27%, 2, 0 (I'd read into this that he spent a fair few of his kicks going backwards or sideways in the D50, but that's only an assumption)

06 - 13%, 36%, 6, 4
