Talking Politics

Ok, I'll throw in one more.

I reckon the intervention in East Timor after the referendum was worthy. The ALP's history on this issue would have made it harder for them to intervene against Indonesia. The Howard government had to be pushed into this but they actually did intervene.

Mind you, Howard was in government for a long time and we are clutching at straws, and no-one seems to be able to find anything from the Abbott, Turnbull, Morrison government, although the entertainment value of Nemesis is looking good!

Don't forget the NBN, oh wait, they stuffed that up too!!!!

But isn't that exactly what Scumo did in regards to the tax bracket / wages inflation creep a few years ago? Wasn't it also passed by Elbowskneesy or Shortarse n the Labor party as well?

Now that Elbows n his mob are actually in power, all of a sudden there's a hit on the superannuation of the supposed rich fat cats. Then there's a hit on the tax bracket creep, again on the supposed rich fat cats.
Next in line will be the negative gearing and other investment tax breaks to pull those supposed rich fat cats even further into the can't make money, can't be bothered line.
Before you know it there'll be *smile* all people putting in any effort to get ahead or investing in anything in Ozstraya n they'll all just be sitting back n waiting for Com Com Comrade Elbowskneesy to hand them their entitled portion of not much.
Your childish name-calling doesn't enhance your post it degrades it :ROFLMAO:

Buying the decrepit copper network off Telstra and then re-wiring it has to be one of the stupidest moves by the supreme money managers, Telstra shareholders laughing all the way to the bank

Nemisis ep 1 was a great watch.
There was a lot in it but on reflection the thing I can’t get out of my mind is that SCOMO still smirks and takes no responsibility for anything.
His response the the question about Robodebt was disgraceful. Basically “ oh well people make mistakes”
A constant theme was people saying he was involved in getting rid of Abbott and him saying he wasn’t.
It reminds me what a piece of work he was/is

I can’t wait for ScoMo’s version’s compared to Turnbull’s on how Morrison became PM.

Dutton says the stage 3 changes are the most outrageous lie and broken promise in recent political history, and that Australians are stunned and struggling to digest it.

Pretty Trump-esque OTT line. Does anybody believe it? I wonder what his definition of 'recent' is?

That'd be when the Morrison and the Libs allowed him to be minister for *smile* everything, wouldn't it?
Then again, I suppose if you keep it all a secret from the people who pay your wages..... Dutton would say it ain't a lie!

But they are voting for it, so they must agree it is a better tax policy then what they had.

Tony Abbott's, broken promises easily trumps Julia Gillard and Albo's lie. He went to the 2013 election promising there would be no cuts to health, education, the SBS and the ABC, within a few months he had slashed funding for all four of them. Dutton voted for those promises to be broken.

More than likely they realise they've been totally wedgied n that at least half a tax cut is better than nothing at all for the punter in the street.

The LNP show they still really want a flat earth tax by continuing to support getting rid of the 37c tax bracket. The income tax system is progressive, it makes the system fairer, those who can afford to pay more end up paying more, they should make it more progressive, how about 55c tax above $300K.
