Talking Politics

Was going to buy a Tesla a couple of months ago, but quickly canned that idea when Musk showed his true colours

I don't like him at all, but with his new closeness to Trump I can only see a bright and profitable future for Tesla. Might as well make some money out of him.

Car sales in Tesla have plumetted in Australia this year. Other brands are gradually taking over. Looks like worldwide car sales will drop for the first time year on year. Still makes a cr@pload of money though. Trump has a new (younger) sugar-daddy to bail him out of his company bankruptcies.

Lefties all chucking a massive hissy fit.
All leaving Twitter, selling off or not buying tesla cars or batteries. But they’ll buy his bitcoin to make money
:rotfl1
Poor old Muskrat will be down to his last $US300billion. He just made another $US50-90 billion since the election. His stock rose over 9%.
No doubt he’ll be feeling the pinch.😁

Someone needs to teach Trump or whoever wrote that about the proper use of capitalisation. Don't want to be a grammar nazi, but that post really annoyed me with completely incorrect capitalisation.
Every word Trump utters should start with a capital. It's the new way

I like the last 2 paragraphs of the article in particular, spot on Moira.

This is why it is fitting that Trump, who was found liable for the rape of one woman and accused of sexual assault by two dozen others, was the president to secure the overturning of Roe v Wade; it is why it is fitting that two of the justices who voted to overturn Roe, Clarence Thomas and Brett Kavanaugh, have been credibly accused of sexual misconduct, each by more than one woman. It is because the sex politics of the right is not an anti-sex, puritanical politics. It is a politics of sexual domination.

There is no use pretending that this is not what the Trump movement is. And there is no use in pretending that this is not what many of the men who voted for Trump hoped to achieve when they supported him. Much of the pre-election coverage of the gender dynamics of Trump’s campaign has disappeared in the days following the election, and perhaps this unpleasant reality is why: most Americans voted for a man they have every reason to believe is a rapist. For some of them, at least, that was not a liability, but an asset.

Trump can't have been the one to secure the over-turning of Roe v Wade, apparently he would have had to be Nostradamus to predict that a case would be forthcoming and then would somehow have to predict which way the judges he appointed would vote, without a crystal ball how could anyone have predicted that?

The real tragedy is that we know what Trump, Thomas and Kavanagh are like. Yet they are in positions of power. Doesn't paint the USA in a positive light.

Nothing to do with hissy fits TM.

The main reason I left X is because it is so toxic, it’s not enjoyable at all and is at times downright scary with some of the things that are written on it.

I refuse to be part of enabling a platform like that
