We can't have it both ways, either someone believes in integrity watchdogs or they don't. It cannot be a political thing.
To anyone who defends Andrews' comments I would ask whether you supported the call for the NACC at the last federal election partly because of what was seen as corrupt behaviour of the previous LNP federal government? Many Labor people also scoffed at the defence of Gladys and comments of overreach by SCOMO and others at the time.
If it is fair for them it is also fair for Andrews' and state Labor
There are many public servants who despair at comments such as these from the former Premier. State agencies including schools, hospitals and many others work within a probity framework that ensures fairness, they take it very seriously and they are also subject to scrutiny by IBAC.
When they see a government and a premier almost belittling it because "they get stuff done" it is actually quite soul destroying and is a terrible example.

Andrews a flog placed in power by his own ilk. Screamed blue murder over this that Covid lockdown ,Comm Games fiasco etc etc but come election day they voted Red. Comrade Communists are Red. At Labor AGM address themselves as Comrade. They bleat over rich Lib capitalists but most are richer than the rich capitalists. They jump into bed with the Greens who want to take you back into the Dark Ages with a goat in the back yard (cannot have a cow to much emmissions).

The Covid Dynasty is over. First Gladys Whatshername retired, then Dan the Man and now Anastasia P is going.

Dimma led the way, the Poli's then followed suit, Mr 90% approval rating, Mark McGowan left politics a few months before Andrews.

Might have a reunion before 8:00pm (curfew) where they all have to sit 1.5m from each other, all wear masks, all keep sanitising every 15 minutes.

I bet Gladys wouldn't bring McGuire with her, she wouldn't want him any closer 1.5 thousand kilometres.

We don’t get to see the ‘no Lockdown’ world in Australia so everyone gets to pot it.
We do have some data clues however

COVID-19 Deaths (rate) per 100k
Australia 23,671 (0.2%)
USA 1,184,575 (1.1%)

At least 100,000 Australians are alive today because of actions we took during that time. The politicians were not perfect but they did the best they could

Some people have very short and selective memories.

Was it the Swiss or the Swedes went with a no lock down policy? Wonder how their numbers compared to the rest?
It would actually be fairly interesting to see numbers on how most of the western countries went with covid. Probably impossible to get genuine numbers as in some countries there'd be a large % of covid deaths where people had a raft of other serious health issues that contributed to them croaking it.

Equally there is a massive understatement of COVID deaths. For instance in the UK they didn’t count people who died in aged care.
The medical fraternity believe that probably 2-3 times more people died of COVID than was reported around the world.
I can guarantee you that in Victoria COVID deaths were reported under a very strict criteria and if anything understated. COVID is like any other respiratory disease, if you have other issues you are more likely to die from it. That is true of pneumonia and it is true of common influenza.
Please don’t play this game again TM.

No surprise that once the world started to hear about Ivermectin, COVID basically became a mild flu. YouTubers saved the world from Bill Gates, 5G and, um, worms
