Sydney Stack

Troll like fascination with Syd eh stig. We get it, you hate him, all the Players hate him, the club hates him but most importantly you were right all along and your very very close connection with the club and players makes you very very important and an authority on all things Syd and his terrible list of *smile* ups that you keep to yourself. We get it. Have you got anything new to say or just going to continue vilifying Syd in every way you can dream up? Btw, I am pissed off with Syd and the club over this but your ‘truths’ reveal a lot about you and not much else.
I remember a certain Rimau a few years ago saying similar stuff about Dusty. The same Dusty who was embraced by the club at a time he was most vulnerable and went on to be a dual premiership player and norm smith winner and a Brownlow medallist.

Oh dear
What happened in last 24 hours means we won’t have a VFL team next year and will lay off further staff . Good bye
Why would a $100k fine mean that we can’t field a VFL side?

Carro reporting that stand alone VFL team was already line ball for Richmond and this club fine doesn't help.
We are one of the strongest, if not the strongest, financial clubs in Victoria. I can’t see how $100k would make all the difference to whether we field a VFL side or not. If we can’t field a VFL side how are the other clubs going to do it?

If it comes down to a choice between fielding a VFL side and and AFLW side then sorry but the chicks should get the flick. I appreciate most will view this as politically incorrect but I could care less. The AFL program supported by a strong VFL program is more important to the club than the AFLW.

That said I hope we can field all three.

We would ditch our AFLW before our VFL team.

It Wilson is correct ( extremely doubtful) then no victorian club could afford to field a stand alone VFL team
Spot on Taz. Much more succinct than my long winded post that said the same thing:mhihi

Don't think Stig overplayed his hand. His opinion and hints weren't overt, but were there if you noticed them.

Yep Stig started with innuendo that all was not right with Syd as a counter view to all those people out there saying she'll be right mate only second year blues etc,
Was told to put up or shut up, he put up now it's shut up!

Ask yourself if it is just a coincidence that Syd now pops up in this misdemeanour?

I am not a proponent of gagging posters on this forum,, (unless it is offensive of course), people have a ignore button if you they are really that affronted with content being posted.

When smoke, there is fire - more often than not

I suspect Caro is fishing. She burnt most of her bridges at Richmond, and used a lot of the good will that her old man’s connections gave her.

Getting slightly outta control dear Caroline. ... I had a mind to call her earlier, (but knew I'd be dumped) maybe to remind her that at age 20, she too made some pretty loose choices when she was afforded the run of the RFC due to her father's time at the helm.

this remark pisses me off no ends.

Most people stuff up - be it 20 or 50. But timing, era, circumstance, outcome, cost to others etc etc etc makes all the difference. The defending of Stack compared to the hanging of Brook only a month ago makes me just want to puke. People act like Syd is a bloody gentle, harmless little lamb. He got handed a bloody chance in life, which the elite of the elite in his field. With that chance he could have been looking at being a 2 time premiership player in 6 weeks time - instead he finds himself right where he is. Its his fault, irrelevant of his age. The club and league could not have been any bloody clearer on the risk of stuffing up. I work with many 20 year olds and they all would kill for a chance like him to get ahead in life. Instead they are carrying massive schooling debts, earning next to minimum wage & still acting 10 times more profesional than he is. They are responsible, educated and empathetic. Syd just sounds like a donut tbh , who thinks the world revolves around him

I know who sounds like a donut.

Stigs close connection is probably a player that's not mates with Stack.

A bit like how matty whites old man was slagging off dusty a few yrs ago
Incorrect
Nothing to do with another player
You can work it out from there

I think there is some trolling happening here folks.
Suggest blocking content of poster who is denigrating a Tiger player. Your choice of course.
There is not one Richmond fan who does not love what Stack has brought to our club.
No Tiger person would speak so badly of Stack or wish him a poor outcome.
What would you say if the players were glad to see his backside ? Interesting hey

How's twitter mate? Did you get it set-up ok, my succinct little sparrow?

Let me guess - you were 20 lets say....40 years ago? Back when being 20 mean marrying a 15 year old chick and driving home pissed to your house you purchased for $40,000? Don't be scared the world has changed. Thankfully most 20 year olds are better than that these days :)

No doubt a journo will pick up on some of the stuff being said on here about Stack from those apparently in the know and write about it soon enough. If you're a Richmond fan I'm not sure why you would want to feed the media negative information about one of our players when they are already at their lowest ebb - especially if you are an employee at the club?

Those thinking we won’t field a VFL team next because of a $100k fine are jumping at shadows. The club has done its due diligence to ensure any down turn (whether that be COVID or down turn in memberships) will not effect the outcome on field. The VFL is super important to our success. Why do you think we can pluck and play when we have injuries?

Cut out the hysteria people.

You are not doing yourself any favours with those type of replies.

I wonder if a young dusty would have survived the hub unscathed. According to TBR dusty was quite loose as a younger man. Perhaps Stig and TBR can compare notes on young loose talent.

according to some we wont be able to field a VFL, and we will still have to cut staff (plural).
The VFL team must be very cheap to run.
