I dare say that we will end up re-aligning with Coburg. I'd think the $100k problem is not the cashflow, but where the $100k from the soft salary these boys cost us will need to come from. I guess with an alignment, they can split the cost between Coburg and us so the soft cap can be extended a little further to keep staff on, at the cost of 100% control of our reserves. . Is this pretty much the deal?
You'd probably have to take in to account though the cost involved in realigning though. It would surely be more costly than just shaking a few hands and getting some jumpers made up.
This is my thought pretty much. I've waited 40 years for a chance at a Dynasty. helping play mother goose to Stacky is not our priority. We have 43 players committed to being a member of this team & 2 blokes who did the stupidest *smile* i have seen - on the eve of the *smile* finals.
If Toby & Soldo go down, we have no back up tap ruckman now. Stack's been given 9 games before others like RCD, Naish, Turner, Eggs, Markov. Its a bloody waste now as going into the finals he is fit, but unplayable. You dont win flags carrying *smile*, sorry
Could be right mate, I have NFI on this stuff. Its going to be a bloody big struggle for us to keep a hold of our advantage of power moving forward, thats for sure

We're the biggest club in the land with 100k members in a year where no one can attend games. We'll be right.

I get very uncomfortable when at times like this there are some who portray the view they know what is happening inside the club. My opinion is that if you do know then you should actually stop posting because those views should come from the club directly not in a fan forum.

If you are getting information from someone inside the club I hope that person is found out because now is the time to let the club officials who have served is so well to be given the opportunity to deal with all this.

We would ditch our AFLW before our VFL team.
It Wilson is correct ( extremely doubtful) then no victorian club could afford to field a stand alone VFL team
Hope it is not the case Taz as we only started winning Premierships when we had our stand alone VFL side.
Don't think Stig overplayed his hand. His opinion and hints weren't overt, but were there if you noticed them.

We GAVE him a career when no one would. He then rooted it by being a goose. If he gets cut because of it, that does not mean his career is over. Plenty of blokes have had harder luck stories than Sydney Stack & made it - just ask Pickett.
Stack might have to go back to the WAFL or VFL level to earn his stripes again - he wont be the first, wont be the last. If he can go back there and do it, his chance will come.
If the club does indeed merge with another team at VFL level, i am all for him being given a spot on the reserves list to stay in the system and work his way back. We can support him without him being on our seniors list, if it is indeed about "support".
But the boy needs to learn their are serious consequences in life and in a multi-million dollar industry like footy. If he wants to prove his value to us, then he should step down from his contract and accept a role on our reserves list & work his way back from there.
If he chooses to just accept a list on any other AFL list, then clearly, he is not wanting to do it the hard way & take accountability for his actions. And for those who think he will defo be given another chance, just remember a bloke called Menadue. Was very unlucky to get cut from our list and we all thought he would get another go. He didn't &. he didn't do a lot wrong either. And that was last year before the entire world went to *smile*

I suspect Caro is fishing. She burnt most of her bridges at Richmond, and used a lot of the good will that her old man’s connections gave her.
