Will tigers run out of puff in September?

They all.want us to fall.over

We’re not taking this year seriously because our guys have been seen to smile after a win.

Absolutely nothing to worry about. The opposing coaches and some of the more knowledgeable commentators definitely rate us. Rather be under rated and get a couple of extra wins then having the opposition lift themselves against us every week.
The opposition is lifting against us every week. As you say, those in the know rate us as the best side in the comp.

Didn't anyone say this about Adelaide last year?

Article on the Roar website

Suggests Cotchin is a borderline A-grader ffs in an article questioning whether we are the real deal

Don't worry they are clutching at anything that will give the other sides hope because at the moment they all know that Richmond is going to be top 2 and that all the sides around us are interstate teams and none of them will beat us on the MCG. We should be $2.50 and shortening for the flag.

I hate articles like this. Yes the Hawks were a super team but he is mentioning players that are now getting towards the end of their careers. They have had the chance to build a solid reputation.

Compare that to our players, outside the "big 4". A lot of them are young with their best football ahead of them. Who's to say the Tigers won't build a dynasty and rival, or even surpass, teams like the Hawks.

Rubbish article for mine.

I agree there are so many journos who have no idea about the game it's frightening, the level of quality has never been so low, compare this to Kingy's column about the Tigers and their tackle breaking etc. There's no comparison and even Kingy is not always right but at least he comes to the table with some supporting data.

I doubt this guy is a “journo”, he’s probably just a footy fan who wants to write and in this internet era anyone can write a web article.

Was this written by an Essendon Bigfooty fan?

The guy is from Perth, this is his 2nd article. A Brownlow medal and 2 Colemans tend to suggest that he got his assessment if Cotchin and Jack wrong. Also rates Jordan Lewis as an out and out champion. Lewis is a good footballer who held his spot in a very good side, but hus struggles at Melbourne suggest that he's not in the same league as Cotch or Jack.

Read that article by Kingy yesterday. At least he's had a good hard look at some of the stuff we're doing during games and explaining how and why it's working. Unlike most of the flogs who blindly dismiss us as a fluke last year n now try to blame us for stuffing up the game because no-one else can play it properly.

To suggest that Cotchin is not elite is pure ignorance.

People's reputations are built on what you do in finals. Cotchin did that and more.

Without him we don't win a premiership.

Totally agree, to defeat something, first you must understand it. This is the first rule of the German General Staff.

I thought it was an ok article. It was talking about peaking too early. What I don't agree with in the article is that the Tigers have played great footy thus far. I don't think we've hit our straps at all and at times have been very sloppy. The best is still to come, hopefully peaking around September.

No I think he's referring to the Richmond the hardest team to tackle against one
