Still giving us nothing...'cept Cups and Medals

Listening to the commentary yesterday it sounded like they were barracking for north

One of them , and I don’t know which one it was , a few times groaned when north turned it over , just like a supporter does

Each time I hear Nick Reiwoldt commentate I reckon his barracking for us
He may be barracking for his cousin, but it's not the team. He left no one in any doubt that in his opinion #lolnorf were the moral victors in his comments after the game yesterday.

Dorf went tall yesterday, roof closed , narrow ground, 12 extra frees to Dorf, reckon the tigers did well.
Move on, oh yeah Dorf were brave ffs.

Reverse the result in any of the games against

Coll
NRf
Freo

and that side would be in the eight.

currently in the 8 are the

Dees
Hawks

Loss to the Stonned crows.

Loads of haters dribbling about our easy draw. Thats 6 games against sides that will finish in the 8 or knocking on the door in another close comp. Yet we are two games clear.

Imagine if we didn't have a hangover! Imagine if we could be brave! Imagine if we won a free kick count!

Good Times!

But they weren't in the 8 last year!! This year doesn't count.

The host SEN tonight must be a Geelong supporter. I nearly drove off the road when he said that Tom Stewart from Geelong was currently the best defender in the competition.

My lord what do these guys smoke?
He will only be remembered for one thing in my eyes.

"Dusty. Dusty, Dusty........." ;D

a 3rd of the season gone and we still haven't played anyone. what a dream draw we have. the reigning premiers have never had it so easy.

Hilarious assessment at Fox Footy's report card page.

North scores an A. Heart, endeavour, ability, blah, blah, blah.

So the team that won surely must have scored an A+?

Nope, just a B+ for the underperforming Tigers.

Imagine struggling through the whole year and taking home another B+ flag. Will be depressing stuff.

Just to add to the deleduded list of scribes that choose to live in denial.....Scott “gullible” Gullan can only write about how good Jacobs was on Dusty, and how Cunnington was best on ground. Forget about the the fact that Caddy , Vloss, Lambert, and about 3 or 4 others stood up and dominated......forget about the fact that it was only our poor kicking for goal early that kept them close, forget about the fact that we had a flat day, but still managed to do the job at a place that we traditionally have trouble winning at.........

Next week will be a scribes paradise if we lose.........but even if we win, it will be all about Nic Nat etc......

And Barrett still parroting on that we haven't beaten anyone from the top 8 last year. :rofl

Easy draws, eh?

This coming round for the top 8:

Tigers - Eagles (perth)
Eagles - Tigers (perth)
Cats - Bombers (mcg)
Crows - Bulldogs (Adelaide)
Hawks - Lions (bris)
Demons - Blues (mcg)
Swans - Dockers (scg)
Power - Suns (qld)

I can only see one tough game in that.

Duddo did make a pretty good call at the end of the game yesterday. Something like 'you can give it your best but ya gotta find more to conquer these mighty tigers!'
That's good praise I reckon.

I like the fact that Cunnington played the ultimate record breaking midfielders game. An absolute beast of a contested game to bring his side close.....and we still won by 10 points! (on a ground that we don't play as well against an older more experienced team the plays that ground well)

Just heard Andy Maher reacting to a caller who raised this sort of garbage. He said we are giving tigers great praise blah blah you just aren't hearing it placing too much on what we say about your opponents blah blah

In previous seasons if round 9 came around with the top 2 teams clashing, both with only one loss, both two games clear of third, one being reigning premier, it would be pumped up as the match of the season, cancel all appointments, compulsive viewing.

Looking forward to reading and hearing all the media hype heading into our game on Sunday.

Is funny.
Funny that he doesn't mentioned that we have flogged 2 teams that are currently in the 8.

Would North, Freo and Collingwood all be in the top 8 today if they had played someone other than Richmond? Would Geelong, Sydney and Port all be outside the eight today if they had played a game against Richmond already? In other words, swap the draws of these clubs and what would the ladder look like?

It is an eminently arguable position. The three teams in the eight have 5 wins and the other three have 4.

Absolutely. The build-up for the North game was subdued, resulting in an ordinary crowd figure. North missed an opportunity there.

The media would rather talk about anything but us. Who was the last premier to go under the radar?

To those idiot journos claiming we haven't played anyone yet (and I know you're reading this) ...

Read the ladder upwards ... yes we have played the bottom two sides.
But we haven't played ANY of the next four, and two of them we get to play twice.
That's just about six more guaranteed wins. 13 in all. Finals already.
