Not up to afl level
Costs us too many goals with basic skill errors
Also gives away unnecessary free kicks with brain fades and bull in a china shop tactics
Another father son gone AWOL
Love the guys heart and courage but when you weigh him up his negatives outweigh his positives

His an amateur quality footballer. He is a liability down back.
He was crap tonight

and we were in a PF, he's in.

im caught in a conundrum with stevie. I love his ferocity. hes real tough. But hes had 1 start at WFA and was spent at the 400.

seems like mick malthouse. so im prepared to forget last run.

I think the problem is that he has been pushed up to compete up towards the midfield a bit from what I've seen in the games so far and that extra running is causing the turnovers - last year he was soley the lock on the opposition small forwards and took scalp after scalp, so much so that he was being talked about as the AA back pocket.

I think the coaching staff have outsmarted themselves so far this year, by changing too many positions for the players to what they were competant with last year. Dusty down back, Newman forward, Morris more time up the ground, Jack more mobile, etc, etc.

Problem with that so far this year is it has thrown out the balance that the side had last season. Rance, Deledio and in particular Maric have been sorely missed - Maric in particular, we are missing his presence around the ground.

The effort and hardness is still there but his skills have dropped off dramatically. He was never an elite user but was effective. Now he is a downright butcher.

He butchers that much nowadays, he sells sausages at half time.
The butcher of Richmond

Agree with this. Does seem to be playing further up the ground, and a combination of this and his ailing body have lead to a downturn in form. A fantastic lockdown player, but someone whose skills should not be overly emphasised in our gameplan. Needs to play a pure back pocket, or be given a couple of weeks off to rest his shoulder.

Turnover merchant. Continually butchers the ball. Effort can only take one so far in this game.

Footskills are killing us - Morris being a major culprit

I would give McDono a game in his place

Useless. Tries hard but it's comical how crap he is. His first year was good but he's getting worse each year. Give his spot to McDonough.

It will be interesting to see if he plays next week after that performance. Tipping as a Hardwick type, he wont be dropped.
