Steve Morris F/S

State league footballers, who have a proven tracked record. Huh. Wonder if there is any more out there? Probs not. Let’s just stick to the method that has got us this far.

And on Morris, flat out footballer. If he is going to do something good or bad he does it at top pace. Commits to his actions. That’s all you can ask.

His defensive game was more obvious, but it has been his run and carry of late that has really impressed. Takes the game on and has decent skills. Him and Ellis with pick 15 =massive win.

I love him, he is a gun.

We need to target more state league players. If they can slot in and have an impact similar to Morris and be upgrades on our 18th-22nd best players we will improve much more rapidly as a result.

Isaac Smith has done well at Hawthorn as a further example.

Personally thought he was our best but unfortunately think he'll get suspended for the elbow at qtr time.

Haven't seen it Tooheys, what happened? Did it spark the melee?

Yeah Morris gets tacked (fairly) hard to the ground and reacts by throwing a couple of elbows into the Kangas players head.
The two North players nearby understandably reacted to it and came in which sparked the melee.
I like the way he plays but that will be scrutinised I expect. Was unnecessary.

Stunned at how crap his Supercoach score have been. Losing a lot of faith in SC with some very weird scores for some players in recent weeks. Thought Morris would get close to 100 this week.

Agree. They need to look at how much a player runs with ball.

Good news. Thought he may have been in trouble.
Finally got a break at the Tribunal.

Didn't think there was much in it ToO. Actually rolls his elbow / forearm over the guys head rather than forcefully into it. If it was King on the other hand!! ;)

Looking at that a little one eyed IMO Westie. I'm just glad he got off because we'll desperately need him against the Blues smalls.

Stevie is fast becoming one of my many favourite players!

Me too. Love the way he plays, and love it when he has ball in hand. Will get better with time, making him a very nice prospect for years to come. Reminds me a tad like Michael Gale of 1995.

Have called them as I have seen them this year ToO and wasn't concerned about this one.

I dont think so it was more push of the elbow into his head/face not a sling back elbow with real force...
