Steve Morris F/S

This sounds wierd but believe me it takes quite some courage and inner belief to run off a player like Rioli to create or help your team mates.

This guy has it in spades. Some minor tinkering on positioning and he can be a very valuable long term proposition.

Yes, seeing him smash the tiprat next week will be a highlight.

I wanna see Milne walk off the ground at half time with the red vest on wondering if his career is over.
Smash him Stevie!

Plenty of knockers b4 the season had even started and i told most he's disposal is quite good, he's quick, he's hard at it, has cat like reflexes etc etc and isn't he and Ellis been great, an absolute steal these 2 for pretty much one pick...

The goal/s riolli got were due to Morris picking up other players man. I thought Morris totally outplayed Riolli and has kicked the tiger goal of the year (yep it was better than Jacko's hail mary).

Amazing weekly efforts from this boy.

He has pace, can take an overhead mark, kicks well, has enormous courage and a brilliant football brain.

He's the permanent small bp now, for my mind.

Best we've had since Micky Malthouse.

Plays a kamakaze style, very unselfisg footballer, who showed a little bit of class today

Better than advertised.

That has a huge game, got to all the contests, keept Cyril to two goals and kicked a ripping first goal in the AFL.

Couldn't say it better.

Amazing fitness, this guy has 5th efforts and ridiculous desperation. He would have saved a lot of goals today.

and that goal was sublime. :D

Loving the backline boys, they've made a huge difference to our sustainable football so far this year. It paid off big time today.

I wasnt impressed when martin hanballed to morris 60 out but it turned out ok.

Prob my fav play from morris for the day was actually when he didnt go hard. Rioli had the ball on the wing with nothing to go to. Morris just approached slowly and forced rioli to pass it off. Rather than charge him and risk rioli running around him.
Good sign that he seems to learn as he goes.

Well said. As hard as Malthouse and with great skills. Hopefully he can put in a good one against Milne next week.

Haha yeah, you could see Rioli's mind ticking over and I reckon he would've taken on most opponents in that situation. Respect shown to Morris.

ANOTHER massive tick for Blair and Frank. If we keep picking up 2 class draft picks and 2 good recycles/rung below good honest footballers every year....there's only one way we will be heading.
