Steve Morris F/S

For a 5 gamer I think he's going fantastically well myself. Improving with every game.

Doesn't try and do anything he can't do. Knows his role, knows his limitations.

Very good pick up. I still think that you can get one Steve Morris every year if you look hard enough.

Great game by Morris. Thought he went in very hard for the ball, for the man and blocking for team mates.

Isn't playing like a fifth gamer. Very well done Steve, keep it going mate!

He is a wrecking ball ! His endeavour is outstanding and he used the ball well and gave the opposition a bit of feedback too which I like. Keep up the good work and look to tighten a little on your man and you will be a star.

2 games in row mate, if he wasn't wearing yellow & black you wouldn't be that blind.
What was doing when Priddus got the ball 20 out?
What was he doing when christiasan read the pack last week?
Watch the replay, then comment..
Ball watcher!!

Every player that has played 5 games will have something to work on to improve themselves. That is possibly Morris' area of improvement. But, sheesh, surely you must agree that everything else he does is pretty bloody solid. Defensive stuff can be worked on, you can't coach him to dive head first into packs like he does, that is pure courage.

Agree that he has some work to do on his concentration and defensive positioning but I thought his decision making and disposal were very good yesterday and that has been the biggest concern about him. The defensive stuff can be taught over time, decision making and footskills not so much.

I think Morris should be the subject of a debate between Leysy and Patsy. Would be good reading.

Keep it up Morris, you're progrssing well. How different does our backline look to a couple of year ago? I am excited for the future with this young backline that is building.

Anyone other than Kerr wouldn't have gotten up so quickly from that hit Morris put on him in the last quarter. Right on the hip, in mid-flight. Great bump.

Nice pass into the forward 50 in the first quarter too. Gets caught out in the defensive press turnover situation, but for a players first year trying to play this gameplan its to be expected.

had some serious doubts re his disposal in his first few games in the pre season, am pleasantly surprised he has cleaned it up fairly quickly.

think he will be an honest defender for us in time. zipps is right though, has been caught out ball watching couple of times, he will improve in that area hopefully with experience.

he is one of the hardest players i can remember playing for us in years.

Ripper game, gets better every game.

Bloody oath. Starting to run the ball out and even linking up really well. Thats to go with his kamikazee routine.

Has had a very good season for his 1st year in the AFL....love the way he plays and gives us good run.....bloody hard it

geez stevey has been a brilliant astute pickup. Does his job, works so hard, chases, runs, anyone see the spoil on butcher at the end where butcher had pole position? cannot believe we had fatty farmer running around last year instead of morris.

For a virtual freebie, I think we have done very well in picking up Morris. We definitely should be aiming for more trades like this.

Part of the credit should go to Papa Kev rather than the talent spotters. ;D
