Steve Morris F/S

Despite his flaws, a player we've missed for a few decades. Becoming vital. Part of the rat pack defence. Solid recruit.

Given the debate this week, and the wet weather forecast, am I the only one that thinks Morris could get himself into a bit of trouble (free kicks/reported) for the manner in which he slides in to contest the ball?

Don't get me wrong as I love his desperation but I reckon the Umps will be hot on this.

I was watching the replay of the Port game again during the week. There are lots of players who go in hard for the ball but this guy is a kamikaze!

this guy has been a revelation. improving every week.

he's much better in the air than i first thought too. just might be the small defender we've been looking for

will never rack up huge DT like stats, but what he does he does well, and with intensity. I reckon opposition players would hate the ball coming there way, when hes right on their tail.

His attack on the ball is mental. Fast becoming a favourite. Would like to see how he goes as a tagger.

I'm looking forward to seeing him on Milne. It will be his biggest challenge.

I'd be happy if he punched Milne in the face really hard at the opening bounce and then accepted 3 weeks.

The work he does off the ball when we dont have possesion and when one of ours has it is amazing. Its a pitty that stuff doesnt get DT points.

Just gets better and better. Predicted he'd get the Jetta assignment and he held him to probably his worst game all year. Jetta was a non factor and Morris offered plenty of good rebound.

I like that he reads the game so well.

pays enough respect to his opponents, but not afraid to move off him to counter their attack forward.

agree he gets better each week to.

Good game by Morris today.

Played very well on Jetta who was non-influential today.
