' OTC highlighted that incident, Jack's poor performance , the lack of output of our key forwards, Bartel's desperation and how Geelong found a way to win. I came out of it wondering whether we had been beaten by 15 goals and I had missed something '

Understand that view but I took it as OTC collective relief Geelong managed to win, preferable to more customary patronising ‘congratulations’ on the RFC nearly winning.

Yep,No praise for the Tige's whatsoever!

What is with Malthouse's gripe with Morris?

He was all over him in the Collingwood game on Ch.7 and from reports was all over him again on 3AW in the call against Geelong.

His remarks are bizarre for a bloke that has only played 4 games.

Is his issue with Morris deeper than just Steve? Has Kevin crossed him somewhere along the way?

Malthouse needs to shut his old mouth and head into the retirement home already.

Heard a rumour from a good sauce that Morris' old man had pinched one of Malthouses old girlfriends in the good ol days.
Malthouse still holds a gripe to this day. ;)

Basically bagging his skills and decision making every time he goes near the ball. Saying he has no place in the AFL because at the top level all defenders need to have pinpoint disposal to get through the modern presses etc.

btoz's post whas kind of what I was expecting to hear. I'm guessing once someone gets on the wrong side of him he holds a grudge against everyone associated with him.

It just wasn't balanced imo but I am not really fussed by it. It was just a general observation that we are being ignored.
Personally I don't mind that and i hope the eagles feel the same way this week.

Mick questioned whether Morris had the smarts for AFL, he also said Morris looks to handball every time he gets it, not always to someone in a better position. He did say Morris has only played a few games so he could improve those areas.
Reasonable assessment I would have thought. He wasnt particularly harsh on Morris.

Morris's press conference is on the RFC website. There is something slightly wrong about a 4 gamer being drilled about a single goal his opponent kicked

I reckon! It was as if he just lost the granny the way the "reporter" was questioning him. A 4 game veteran....

Was that in the 3AW call? I didn't hear it but had heard he was harsh on Morris. In the Ch7 call a few weeks back, he was definitely questioning his decision making and ability to use the ball. Not once but every time he touched it which was overkill IMO. Basically said he didn't belong at AFL level which is a big call for a guy that was playing his second AFL game at that point.

malthouse got into him....very harsh judging on a guy thats played 4 games, yet jackson escapes scrutiny from the media week in and out.....staggering.

Just watched his presser, gee the bloke was drilling him over his errors. Was he fishing for a negative tiger story?

Very well spoken by young Steve. Didn't dodge anything, just said he aimed to learn from his mistakes.
Even when pressed again and again, he kept his cool and spoke very maturely.
I'm very impressed with him.

Yeah 3AW. I heard him during the Pies game, and agree he did question Morris constantly. No really like that this week IMO. He just said what I said before, once I think, and did say that Morris was inexperienced so he could improve those areas.
