In Grimes absence, Steve will play in the small defender role where he's played his best footy for us.
Hopefully he can rediscover some form and confidence in that position.
It was a big mistake to play him forward by Hardwick earlier in the year. Clearly his limitations in that role were exposed and it destroyed his confidence. That said the back 6 in his absence have been awesome this year.
However he has played some good games defensively and he's been picked so fingers crossed he does ok. He's on the list for 2 more years after this so we need him contributing.
If Hardwick plays him forward ever again I will scream.

So you are saying the backline is better without Morris and that Morris cannot play forward. Hmmmmmm.

Yep I really hope he plays back line and is never seen anywhere near the forward line again. Back is where he has played his best footy, its either there or not at AFL level at all. I must say though he is a lucky man, has been afforded many more opportunities than some others on the list.

he lives in Dimmas back pocket so makes sense to me

You'll be surprised.

I got my 8month son to help me setup our wifi

They are useful that way when they are young. Wait till he is twenty-something. Last week I had to go over to a TOT-offspring's apartment and explain that the perpetual darkness they are experiencing after 6 pm each night does not mean the apartment is broken, it just means they need to replace a few light bulbs.

Then I had to give all the flat mates a masterclass in replacing light bulbs.

Yep and with all on deck he's not in the 22 BUT we don't have all on deck. Depth is being tested right now.

If he was getting a game at Wang Rovers their depth would be questioned.

If giving away free kicks is the criteria then he has done well.

If the work he does on his opponent in giving away the free kick ensures his opponent rushes n stuffs up most of his future possessions during the rest of the game, or spends more time searching for incoming than playing the ball, then perhaps the free kick is worthwhile.
Still a very fragile n sensitive mob these Mould Coast boys, Stevie may not get much of the footy himself, but he may just put the frighteners up a few of them while they are trying to play there fancy link up n chip to cheap footy.

Morris back in the side
Only positive to come out of it is this thread will get some traffic.

Nah, it'll just get some "inferred" traffic.....

Half way through the last quarter and yet to lay a tackle.

Good that he brings all that pressure to the opposition.

Maybe they're grooming him to become an elite mid..... ;D

16 possessions so far. Must be his highest.

Is much more comfortable in the backline. Probably his best game for the season. Cant' complain if this is what he churns out weekly but the opposition isn't much chop.
